- Carl replies to RichThis is genuine, I didn't respond to the text but called my bank. I would suggest you do the same as it usually indicates a cloned card
- chan| 2 replieshad this number text me at 11.27pm saying I done a online payment of £184.94 at vivas street. This is a scam Halifax never send a text at that time of night plus if there isn't that amount in the bank it will decline it. This is a scam off to the bank I go
- Caller: Supposedly Halifax????

- StevieTHIS IS GENUINE - DO NOT ASSUME ITS FAKE
I bank with lloyds and received a similar message about X amount to X has happened and is it me or not.
This post nearly made me dismay it completely but as they had my last 4 digits I double checked in my local branch it is the LLOYDS FRAUD TEAM
Please call just to check as they had also stolen an extra 17quid off me that I wouldn't have noticed as I rarely use the account so I'd advise anyone to at least check!!
Don't disregard these texts - lloyds confirmed this was them! - Anon replies to Anon| 1 replyBoth are owned by Lloyds banking group
- ClaudineI had text from Halifax saying last 4 digits of my card. This one said about a transaction being done at 3am when was never awake, new straight away was load of bull. Had my card cancelled as if have last 4 digits of card they could have the rest.

- claudine replies to Tam| 1 replyAnyone saying it's a fraud listen to them as the scammers use these sites and say it's real. As i got the text feom Halifax and others feom Lloyds it's load of crap. Phone your bank and get new card though as if they have those last 4 digits they may have the rest.
- wazzGot one from Halifax, phoned them and they confirmed it was them. Transferred to their security team who said the transaction had been blocked for safety and they unblocked it then my transaction went through. Always worth phoning the bank and asking!
Also, Halifax are owned by Lloyds banking group so it's not surprising they use the same number.- Caller: Halifax
- JohnBeen on the phone to the Halifax for 2 hours my card has been used to pay 2 insurances and a travelodge so the number is genuine
- Score NobleGuys I had two texts from this number today thought it was just spam or phishing. Tried to ignore it but though no harm ringing the bank just in case. Turns out this was a genuine text from Halifax security department. Someone had tried to make a payment overseas on a cloned version of my card. If anyone gets a text from this number it is NOT spam!
I asked them if it was standard practice to text customers and they stated they find it was the quickest way to get people to ring back.- Caller: Halifax Security and Fraud Dept

- Steveni had the text as follows:
First from Natwest:
We need to verify some recent transactions on your credit card. Shortly you'll receive a message from 07860 020943 with details of how to proceed
Then from the number:
0.66 GBP in United States. Reply Y if you made this transaction. If you do not recognise it, please reply N.
Gonna call natwest direct! I don't use lloyds or Halifax and natwest is in a different group :/- Caller: natwest
- AlexisJust phoned my local halifax branch to check and they said it was a text from Head Office to check whether I had made recent transactions or if someone had been using my account fraudulently.
I don't understand why half of you guys don't just phone up your banks in the first place... I sh*t myself up reading the mixed comments in here -_-- Caller: Halifax

- RhianneI got a message just now from Halifax stating that my card is being used for a £390 purchase, to a company I've never heard of, with card details. Funny thing is I'm not with Halifax and never have been, I have never been with Lloyds either as everyone is saying they are joined; so I'm failing to see how this number is so genuine if they can send me card details for a transaction when I do not bank with either banks.

- BlingHello everyone. I need help! yesterday I purchased online from YOXX, but it is not success. It said bank will contact me.
And this morning I receive this text from 44 7860035284, it said " Lloyds Bank has noticed your debit card ending *** was recently used online on 09-02-2015, at YOOX Group for *** GBP. Please confirm if this transaction was made by you by replying Yes or No". Firstly I thought this is true number from Lloyds, and I do not want so buy. I replied "No". Maybe my telephone need to charge. so it not delivered. And I got one call from +84 53510192, it is automatic speech,so I hang up.
BUT I found this number form Internet and I saw this, so I thought it is fraud number, and my account card is not safe. So I decided to go to bank to inquire about this, but the clerk said it is no problem, if I do not want to buy I can ignore it.
But just now I received this call from +84 53510192 again, I did not get this. I found Lloyds website has no these two number. So I thought my account is not safe. So what should I do?- Caller: Lloyds

- EmmaI received a text from this number today after attempting to make an online purchase with Tesco direct, it read "Halifax has noted that your debit card ending **** was recently used online on 01-03-2015 14:16:00, at Tesco direct for £ The amount. Please confirm if this transaction was made by you by replying Yes or No."
Without thinking I replied "Yes" to receive a second text saying "Thanks for confirming that the transaction was made by you. If it was "declined" you'll need to wait 10 minutes before trying again. Thanks for using our fraud service." I then panicked and phoned Halifax who immediately confirmed that they had sent the texts, it turns out that they suspected suspicious behaviour, probably because I made a purchase of a much larger amount than I would normally make, they talked through all of my recent transactions with me making sure that it was indeed me who had made them and finally, they stayed on the line with me to ensure that my purchase from Tesco direct was successful. So...a happy ending for me but I do wish that they would find another way to deal with suspected fraud as it's impossible to know who to trust.- Caller: Halifax
- DanIt's a legit message, contained details of the transaction i just made online and the last digits of my card number I called Lloyds first to confirm it though. Turns out its their Fraud team flagging up suspect transactions.

- BillReceived a text apparently from Lloyds saying £3866.93 had been debited from my account on 28/4/15. The next day the same amount, at a different time of day, had also been debited from my Lloyds account. I do not have a Lloyds bank account so have ignored.
