This is Santander. They also bought loans owned by Citi Financial Auto.
They call every day numerous times. As someone previously said, they will call you even though your payment is not due yet. They consider it due on the first of that month.

These people (Santander) have called me up to 6 times a day and each time it has been from a different number.  Luckily my balance was paid down to the last $300 and I paid it off over the phone a few minutes ago. And of course I told them where they could stick their phone calls and the $300. Good luck folks!

have gotten several calls from this number looks for Roberto. The 1st time they called I didn't recognize so I didnt answer. They didnt leave a msg. THe 2nd time they called I told them i was Roxy and had the phone since June. They said well they talked with Roberto on the 5th from that number. I said well that is impossible as it was MY cell phone and I have had it since June. The got got short with me and just oh okay. When they called again this morning, it was a lady. I told them the same thing - to take me off their list as I was NOT the person they were looking for

This is a scam.  They called my number and said - "I need to verify your social" I said no and the lady got an attidude with me.  I told her I do not give out my ss number to people who do not identify their business to me.

She said it was a misdial.

    I doubt it.

I bought a car through CarMax that was financed through, evidently, Santander. First payment on the car was set for about 5 weeks from when I took possession of it.

Stantander's harassing calls started up within a week (4 weeks before my first payment was due). They call about three times a day, every day. Once they left a message. If I answer, no one comes on the line, just silence.

Since I realized then that I was dealing with a crappy loan servicer, I made a point to pay my account at least two weeks before the due date, and to never let them get hold of my account details (never give anyone your account numbers! It is trivial for any of these companies to pull money from your account, and while it's illegal for them to do so, you'll either never get it back, or spend way more in lawyers and time to do so than it costs you in the first place).

If I call their 800 number, I get the automated service, which uses caller ID to identify my account (that's handy, wish more companies would do that), and which tells me when they got my last payment, and when the next one is due. My account is in good standing.

And yet, they still call two or three times a day.

Whatever. I drop each number they call from into my contact list and assign a silent ringtone. If they had some kind of problem with me I'd be happy to address it, but all they've done is remove their ability to contact me by phone.

I hate Govt Employees replies to Camille Spivey
Wow, Camille. You are a government employee. All us little people who work everyday so you can retire with a big fat pension are shaking in our boots. I bet Drive Financial lady goes home every night and hugs her kids hoping Camille from the government let's her continue her quiet enjoyment of her life.

    You're an idiot.

Sandander will start calling immediatly on the very first day you are late. And they will use numerous area codes.

Best thing to do is simply ignore the calls. I have stopped picking up any call from a number I don't know because of their harrassment. It's really bad when they start the day before a payday and the account is only 2 days late and they demand 3 months of payment. Since they are unreasonbable, I don't bother with them.

It happens to be Sunday and these [***] called me once at 8:05 am wakeing me up and a second time at 11:47am, I am sure I will get a few more before the day is done. I thought I read somewhere that it was illegal for collectors to hassle you on the weekends? I am so sick of this company my payment is two days late and they hound you night and day for a payment.

Comment on your "Tip": Some people who are in need of a car loan have to resort to companies like Drive Financial because of credit issues that are beyond their control.  It's not always that the car they are choosing is not practical.  It could be a very practical vehicle...one they are in desperate need of.  And because of issues with identify theft, divorce, etc. they are stuck trying to repair their bad credit rating.  It is true, there are people who have bad credit because of their own carelessness, however, there are those that in essence get stuck in the middle and have no other choice but to use horrible finance companies like Drive Financial.
