WELL I HAVE BEEN RECIEVING THESE ANNOYING PHONE CALLS FROM 5022132798 ABOUT A INMATE WHO HAS BEEN TRANSFERED TO ANOTHER LOCATION AND THEY ASK ME FOR A DAMN PIN NUMBER WHICH I DO NOT HAVE, THIS HAS BEEN DRIVING ME NUTS. CAN YOU IMAGINE YOURSELF SLEEPING AND THE PHONE RINGING AT 3 O,CLOCK IN THE MORNING YOUR HEART STARTS TO RACE AND YOUR BLOOD RUSHES TO ALL OVER YOUR BODY EXPECTING SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED TO A LOVE ONE  BUT NO IT'S THE DAMN PHONE CALL THIS IS VERY ANNOYUNG I HOPE NOT TO RECIEVE ANY MORE CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER

I understand it is annoying if you are not a victim.

This service has prevented a lot of victims from being targeted once an inmate is released.  If this service did not exist SOMEONE's loved one may be injured again.  This is a very important service and saves lives.  I troly hope no one ever needs a service like this, but if they do- I am glad one exists.

I got a phone call last month from this number all day long, researched the number and got ahold of someone and they told me they took my number off the list until I got ANOTHER phone call this morning from the same damn number. I called to get my number taken off again they said I had to wait six hours to get it taken off and to call again. When I call again and if no one answer this is going to be one pissed off B*&$%!!!!!!

This number is associated with sex offenders registery in Maryland. When a sex offender moves to my zip I recieve a call from this number.

The 502-213-2798 number has been calling non-stop for days...my husband finally went downstairs n disconnected the whole phone...AFTER they woke us up from a sound sleep at 1:00am!!! They start calling at the crack of dawn here in Tx. ANNoying as hell..and Im fed up!  Its a failed service if the incorrect people are receiving these calls about offenders being released or transferred. Obviously there is more to it than just randomly being called..how are they getting OUR numbers from STATES away....likely not an accident. I will post a solution when I find it..and I will try the advice posted earlier..hopefully its a real deal.

Getting calls from this same number. Have not signed up anywhere to receive any information about any offenders moving to my zip code. THEY STARTED AT 6 A.M., SO I KNOW THEY ARE NOT LEGITIMATE. I don't answer them. If it continues, I will find way to block them.

this is the Vine notification for victims to be notified about offenderstatus change or release. if you are not the victim an ddont have a pin number to disable the notification, you have to call the jail to get the pint to disable. it appears that the number to disable is 1234 and then the pound sign

I have received calls from this number as early as 7am and as late as 11:57. the recording  does not identify the company or who is calling. they ask for your pin number to continue the call saying to hear the information you have requested

MY SON JUST GOT A CELL FOR HIS BIRTHDAY ON 5-22-2010.  I ACTIVATED IT MY SELF. AND NOW THIS NUMBER IS CALLING SAYING I REGISTERED HIS NUMBER FOR A FLORIDA IN MATE NAMED: MARK FULLER.  I ACTUALLY SPOKE WITH SOMEONE REGUARDING REMOVING MY SON NUMBER FROM THE CALLIN LIST. THEY SAID IT WAS REMOVED. BUT THEY CALLED BACK 20 MINUTES LATER.

This number was calling my daughters phone so I went online and blocked the number. Very easy to do with Verizon. You can also have your phone number removed from them by answering the call or dialing 866-566-8267 website is www.vinelink.com

It is for a program that lets victims know when their offender is released or relocated.

This number has been calling me off and on for I know 2 years.  You can't call it back for some reason.  I've contacted my cell phone company AT&T they can't do anything about unless i pay extra a month to have it blocked.  I wish I knew why this number is always calling me?

This is the phone number that pops up on my caller id when I am being informed of a inmate in a corrections facility. This is a service for victims of a crime. The automated sevice informs victims of the offenders status such as location transfers or prison releases. You actually have to request that you be added to there calling list and register as a victim under the specified offenders name, so these calls are not made randomly. However; once you are on the victim calling list, the calls will come every hour unless you enter the security code you chose to provide at the time you registered as a victim.

good grief there are alot of idiots on here. You signed up for something called VINE to tell u when someone switches jails, is released, etc etc. The reason they're calling is because they have your number listed and associated with someone who has changed status, so they're giving u a heads up.
