This Vine service, developed with good intentions, is heavily flawed.  It opens the door for prank callers to register phone numbers.  Vine needs to add an extra step to verify newly registered numbers for legitimacy.

Received call every two hours. They did leave a message notifying a relative of an upcoming arraignment, They left mesaage and within the message they asked to press 2 to state you understand what you are being told. It took me a while to realize that pressing 2 within a voice mail wasn't going to do anything. Next call due in about 20 minutes. Hoping that by pressing on the real phone call will stop things.

THIS # HAS SHOWN UP ON MY PHONE SEVERAL TIMES. I GOT ON THE INTERNET TO LOOK IT UP AND THERE WAS ANOTHER # TO CALL TO REPORT IT. I DID THIS AND THE PERSON AT THE OTHER END SAID THAT THEY HADNT CALLED MY # SINCE 8/2010. EVEN THO I JUST RECIEVED ONE NOW,12/19/11. SHE HAD GIVEN ME ANOTHER NUMBER TO CALL. I HAVE NOT YET CALLED IT. THE ONLY THING THAT I CAN THINK OF IS THAT THE PHONE # I HAVE HAD BEEN SOMEONE ELSES. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL CALLS ON MY PHONE TRYING TO REACH ANOTHER PERSON. I BLAME ALOT OF CALLS LIKE THIS ON THE PHONE CO. THEY SHOULD NOT REUSE THE NUMBERS OVER FOR THIS REASON.

WRONG!  i never signed up for anything even REMOTELY related to VINE and I have nothing whatsoever to do with Delaware or any criminal case.  They are calling me for NO reason whatsoever.

HERE IS THE SOLUTION!

Call the Delaware Dept. of Corrections at (302) 857-5440.  This is apparently a Delaware issue, despite mention of other states, and this is the number that's best to call.  They (a real person) will take your number and have it forwarded to be removed from the VINE system.  

Be sure to mention the nature of the calls you've received, so they will know there is a major problem with the system.

502-213-2798 is the Kentucky Vine Line, it provides information on the new status of an inmate such as a release date or transfer.  Someone must have registered with this State service for updates and to keep posted with actions taken with a current inmate.  If you answer and respond that you received the message they will stop calling.

This telephone number belongs to VINELINK. This is a service where you sign up to be informed of an inmates location. This service is usually provided to victims or inmate family in order to let them know if the inmate has been transferred from prison location or released.

It has nothing to with the State you are in. This is a National service provided to inmate families or victims. It may very well be that a telephone number was registered incorrectly, previous from you having this number, or someone registered the number for you. In any event you have to answer the call and press 1 for YES if you want to receive these calls and 2 for NO.

This number belongs to the VINE network.  It gives you information as it changes about a particular prisoner.  You register your number with this network and they call you when the prisoner you requested to be notified about has a change in his/her prison status.  If you don't enter the pin number you signed up with once the call is completed, they will call every 45-hour.

It is a scam to get vulnerable, curious people to follow prompts, roping you into a subscription for 10 dollars a month. It will ask you to call a number that will ask you to push star. You will do so thinking it will give you an option to unsubscribe, what you truly would have done is allowed them permission to send you and call you with sales and telecommunications...that you PAY FOR. It says it is from a crime service, you don't pay for protection from the state, and and giving no option to call the numcrime
services to not continue to call the wrong number in a completely different state, who has no t been the victim of this person...from here, 22 hours away, and no option to call that number back, (hangs up), or speak to an officer. Dont be so gullible. Nothing is ever what it seems, and guess what? Just because it says its a crime number doesnt mean it is. How many police departments have.you paid to help you? Don't push star....install an app to block, call your phone company. Good

HOUSE,HUSBAND, AND MINE. ALSO MY EMAIL. ONCE YOU PROVIDE THEM THE INFORMATION REQUESTED IF YOU HAVE, IT WILL STOP. IF NOT GO TO VINE AND TALK TO A PERSON. USE GOOGLE TO GET NUMBER AS I DONT KNOW IT. VINE WILL CALL WITHIN 20 MIN AFTER THE INMATE LEAVES THE FACILITY TO WHERE EVER THEIR GOING. THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CALL UNTILL THEY REACH SOMEONE. THEY  WANT TO MAKE SURE IF YOU ARE THE VICTUM, THAT THEY REACH YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. IF YOU WERE THAT VICTUM YOU WOULD BE THANKFUL THEY CALLED YOU WHEN EVER .IF YOUR NOT THEN YES IT WOULD BE ANNOYING. BUT THERE HAS BEEN ENOUGH INFORMATION LISTED HERE TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN FOLLOW UP AND HAVE YOUR NO# REMOVED. AS STATED, PROBABLY YOUR NO# WAS ONCE LISTED WHEN IT BELONGED TO SOMEONE ELSE. AND THAT PERSONS INMATE MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN MOVED IN SEVERAL YEARS SO WHEN THEY WERE, VINE CALLED THAT NO# IF YOU CANT GET AHOLD OF SOMEONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO FOLLOW UP TO HAVE YOUR NO# REMOVED. AND THANK YOU VINE FOR BEING THERE FOR ME. They are calling a Private Company 5 times a day to 732-798-2719 Please have them stop

I went through all the channels to stop these calls, and hopefully they will no longer continue..
