- Caller: Wells Fargo
- SarahGot about 5 calls in the last two days. This can't be wells fargo, they always call me from an 800 number about my overdue bill. Also this number is comming from an Beaverton, OR number. Wells Fargo is based out of MN. Good thing I work at night and sleep during the day. I won't be answering this number any time soon.
- EdI got 3 calls today, two right at 8:30am (they called twice while I was in bed) and one just right now (8:30pm). Aren't there laws about how late people can call you, or at least some kind of company policy?
Like the lady above me, Caller ID shows this as coming from Beaverton, OR.
Anyway, I'll answer it the next time they call and came back (if I don't forget).- Caller: Not sure
- AWells Fargo CustomerIt IS WELLS FARGO CARD SERVICES! ANSWER THE CALL< I'm glad I DID -I forgot to sign my check to them and they did an online transfer so i wouldn't be late.
- wellsfargo employeeI work for Wells Fargo and this isn't a call from us. Don't give them your information its a scam
- RobReceived 2 calls from this number today, did not answer either call, was curious so decided to google the number, and led me to this and other forum sites pretty much explaining the same, so dont dall prey to these calls.
- MaryI've been receiving these calls too. So far I've just been hung up on as soon as I answered. I got curious and googled the number and found this site.
It CAN"T be Well's Fargo. I do NOT have an account with them. Never did.
Don't give them any info over the phone! And if you did, I suggest you see about changing your account numbers asap! - JSI work for Wells Fargo, this is a number for Overdraft collections. If you call they ask for information to look up your acct because we don't know why it is when you call in if you don't feel comfortable to give that information we direct you to your local branch. If you don't have an account with Wells Fargo call back and we will take the number off.
- Caller: Wells Fargo
- GeorgeI got a call today and did not answer. They did not leave a message and I called from work and the operator answered stating that it is not a working number.
This is odd, I do have a WF account, but I am current and up to date on payments.- Caller: ??
- JessicaThey called me this morning. Luckily I googled the number before returning it so I already knew it was a phishing site. I lit into the woman telling her that she should be ashamed of herself and that she was a pathetic excuse for a human being. Sad thing is, the recording sounds valid and had I not googled it beforehand, I probably would have fallen for it. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR INFORMATION!!
- Caller: FAKE Wells Fargo
- AlejandroI reached some people there, they said they would disconnect me from their calling list, but the next day I kept receiving their calls. Called again, and a guy said they cannot do anything. Called my company (AllTel), they say the only thing they can do for me is change my number (!!!)
- Caller: didn't say
- EXPOSEDThink about it, the people who are writing posts here insisting that it's not phishing are the scammers themselves, trying to get credibility!
I called the real Wells Fargo and confirmed it with them that it was a Phishing scam. The Wells Fargo banker (The real one) I talked to even tried calling back the number herself. When she did, she identified herself as a Wells Fargo banker to the scam artist, and crook hung up on her! - not a victimDO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE ON THIS THREAD WHO CLAIMS TO BE A WELLS FARGO CUSTOMER OR A WELLS FARGO EMPLOYEE.
THIS IS A PHISHING CALL.
Call the real bank yourself (find the number by going to Wells Fargo's official site) and verify with them, they'll tell you the same thing. - RobIt shows as originating in Oregon. I don't know anyone in Oregon. I have received five calls to my cell phone.
- Caller: not identified
- STFUTo all you [***] who keep claiming this is a real WF number, STFU.
- STFUNow I DO know who you are. Be aware. There will be someone at your door soon. Be sure to answer the door and be met by those who WILL know what to do.
To YOU!! - EJHaha, I love all of the jack [***] that work for this scam who come on here and claim they are Wells Fargo customers or employees. Have you read the posts? Hilarious, they can't even speak proper english. I guess all of WFs customers are foreigners now.... Next time they call i'm just going to mess with them
- APGot the calls twice today. The first one was a beginning of a recorded message which then disconnected after 2 secs, the second a few hours later was nothing. I googled the number and I'm glad I found this site. I called the number back and sure enough it was a fake Wells Fargo line. The first thing it asks is to "enter your card number". That should set off a red flag because WF does not as for your card number, they ask for your account number over the phone. I then pressed "0" to talk to someone and asked why I was being called. She said it was some automated thing and then asked for my card number. I said "No!" and hung up. I called the real WF fraud dept. and reported this and they said it was definitely a phishing scam. The posters that come on here and say it's real are obviously part of this disgusting scam and should be ashamed!
- LeonYep I got that call like 8 time in one week, no message left either. It's nice to know I am not the only one, I thought it might be bill collectors or something, but based on the reponses, it's just a phishing scam!!!
- Caller: none
