Got THREE calls from this number today! WTF.

no voicemail left. called a few times yesterday and a few today. havent called them back. strange

Never had a Wells Fargo account, get called ten times a day from this number.  Any idiot that says it's not a scam is probably in on it...

Sorry, but I have been taught never to give personal information over the phone or internet. It is best to handle your financial matters at the bank. If you are given a list of numbers from the bank, you can program them into your phone and know that the real deal is calling. I now have 3 scam #'s calling my cell phone daily. The real deals only call my home phone. I don't give my cell number out to anyone but work, family and choice friends. I do not get calls from these numbers on my home phone. So, tell me if they are NOT scams how did they get my cell #?

It is indeed Wells Fargo or at least it is accurate about your missing a payment. If you have an account with them i would check you balances and stuff online but i wouldn't do it through this number. And if you don't think you have an account i would go to your local branch to confirm that its "you". if they say it is but u don't remember opening an account i would check your credit report immediatly for other suspicous activity. I am an Information Technology professional so i have seen more then my fair share of identity theft and phishing.

ITS From WELLS FARGO. I called it back.

Someone at this number has called me three times this morning and has never left a message.  They also called me a few months ago many times and I never answered.  I don't know who it is and am not planning to answer the phone when they call.  How can I find out who it is and make them stop calling??

leaves no message and when I pick up, line goes dead.

this is a legit number, it is wells fargo card services. for YOUR protection they are not allowed to leave a message as they are calling to collect a debt. It is NOT a phishing site, it is wells fargo and you should call them back!

Yeah I think this is pretty sketchy. I'm pretty sure I do have an overdue bill but there is no reason Wells Fargo would call my cell phone. I don't think I've ever given it to them.

If it is Wells Fargo then they need to do a much better job of dealing with people's security.

it is against the rules to call outside of business hours, multiple times a day. it is likely a scam.

Yes it is Wells Fargo, but it doesn't mean you don't pay your bills. SELL, SELL, SELL is the name of their game.  Plus they break the rules ~  mulitple calls in a single day, calling after 9pm, ad very RUDE!

I got 2 calls this morning, checked online after finding this site and i was 1 day over due on my credit card, DOH! I checked around on wells fargo's website and here's what they say to do:

"Telephone or voice phishing
Known as vishing, or voice phishing, this tactic is a phishing attempt made through a telephone call, fax or voice message. If you are uncomfortable continuing a phone call that was not initiated by you, ask for a reference number and call Wells Fargo, using legitimate sources of contact information. This includes information found on wellsfargo.com, 1-800-869-3557, information on your bank statements, and phone numbers listed on your ATM, debit or credit card. "

So just ask the person for a reference number then call your local branch or the number on the back of your card.

Well, being in law enforcement and reading all your post I would have to say the first hing you need to do is call you local Wells Fargo bank and make a formal complaint. BLOCK the # and what ever you do don't give out personal information.
I work nights and am not real happy to be woke up by low life scum bags trying to steal my money.

I just got my 4th. On cell phone.

This number has been calling me for the past three months and when I reply I got no audio and the person hang up.

Caller from this number but no message.It appears to be  from Beaverton Oregon
