Just got a phone call from number 509-468-5987. It was a card holder for some offers they could give me but didn't hear what they were offering because I hung up right away. the longer you stay on the phone, there is more of a chance they can download information from your cell phone. So just hang up when this kind of sh-t happens.

Got one just now on Oct 27th from "credit card services" something or other.  The prompt offers you to push 1 to speak with a CS representative and when I did so I got what sounded like a black female. I said: "Hi, take me off your list please" and she thought about it for a moment, huffed loudly, and hung up without saying anything.

They're likely trying to get some kind of card, address or account information.

How do you know the rep was black? Were you able to see through the phone? That's not nice to assume someone is a certain race over the phone.

I got a call from this same number 503-468-5987 and said something about lowering my credit card interest rate to 6.9%. I pressed one to speak to a rep but got no answer. I called back and pressed 1 option to opt out. Hope that works. I was just considering, with all the credit cards I have, what am I supposed to do, play inny minnie mynnie moe to figure out which one is card services. URGH! Hate these damn solicitors.

What does a black rep sound like? Don't play the race card on here by stereotyping. She could have well been white (wanna be down chick) or hispanic, or Asian, or whatever else is out there. That's wasn't a nice thing for you to say.

10/27 at 2:53 PM received call from this number and no one answered then the call was disconnected.
I googled the number and it is coming from Astoria, Oregon.

I received a call from 503-468-5987 at 2:53 pm EST today, Oct. 27, 2011 on my cell phone.  I am in Northern New Jersey.

Got the call from them today @ 2:29PM. I didn't anwer.

I just got a call from this number on my cell phone. Only people I know have this number, so I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. They didn't leave a message. From all the posts I've read on this site, my guess is that they are phishing for info. I do know 503 area code is northeastern Oregon and southeastern Washington. Don't give them any info - I think this is a scam!

Same, got a call from this number. I didn't pick up and they left no message. They called this morning 10/28/11 at 9:26am MST.

Some black female started asking about interest rates, dag nub it.

missed call, no message left. Don't know anyone in oregon.

This # called me at 9:05 am on 10/28/11. I answered & it was dead air so I kept saying "hello" & then they hung up.

Been getting calls from this number and others. It is a card holder service they say. I want it to stop.I'm on the do not call list. Thanks

Received a call from 503-468-5987 Oct. 26, 2011 at 10am CST.  Did not answer it & no voice mail left.  My phone numbers have been on DNC list for many years.  Apparently this is a telemarketer, so file a complaint, per other comments on this site.  I just did file my complaint on the donotcall.gov website.
