Got a call from this service on my cell phone, whats the deal with that?!

received a call from this number, when I answered no one was on the line.  When will I ever learn not to answer when I don't recognize the number??

Rec'd several calls from this number, most recently this a.m. and it says I don't have a problem with my account at this time but am eligible to lower my interest rate. Not owning a credit card I know this to be B.S. so I pressed 1 to speak to a rep and it rang for almost 2 minutes and I finally got a man that answered "Card services would u like to lower ur interest rates today?", I begin to tell this man they had the wrong number and to take me off their call list and he hung up before I could finish. This is a scam people do not give them ur info and if u haven't already register with the do not call registry 888-382-1222 and if u have done so and are still receiving these calls u can file a complaint with that same number.

Adding to the pack .... just had an incoming call from this number on my cell (Oct. 18) ... didn't answer and didn't leave a message.

I have been getting a number of calls from these people. I don't know why. No message, typical of the above thread.

I played along for a little bit and turns out I'm overqualified for their promotion (lowering interest rate on my credit cards to 6%) because I don't keep a running balance of over $5,000 total on my cards.  The phone agent "marked down on my account that I'm overqualified."

This sounds like a scam for people who aren't super-savvy when it comes to either budgeting or phishing.

Recv'd a call from this number 10/18/2011. Nobody there when I answered (hang-up)

Called at 11:03AM EST.  Did not leave a message.  Caller ID listed as "Astoria, OR"

telemarketing call - I am on DO NOT CALL list

Its a scam!  I just called the better business burro and they gave me a number to call to file a complaint so that they can look into it.  If you get a call from that number, call 1-877-382-4357 and file a complaint about it so they can catch the scammers!  Here is the number for the national do not call list so that after 30 days if anyone contacts you thats a telemarketer or this number its considered illegal.
Do not call number 1-888-382-1222.  Hope this helps!

Wells Fargo Bank is based in Des Moines, Iowa.  Call the corporate office.  Hope this helps

After receiving two missed calls this week, I called the number back and heard a recording directing me to press #1 if I preferred not receiving any promotional calls from this number.

This number keeps calling, then hanging up.  Sounds like a stalker.

Rec'd call 10/18/2011 4:30pm did not leave message. I called the number back and got a recorder msg stating "thank you for calling us back, if you wish to be taken off our contact sheet please enter 1"... I did and hope that is the end of that.

I did the same as ODA914.  Now we'll see how many times they call in the next 72hrs!

Received a call from this number but no one responded.  Called it back and could not tell who it was or what kind of company.  I was given the option to be removed from calling list.  How did they get my cell number?

mike in delaware...does it really matter that the rep is black...i thought delaware was more intelligent than to make that type of comment.
