Got a call from this number today at 12:26 pm MT.  
When I answered, no one was there.  
It sounds like this is a scam, from what I have read in previous posts.  
How can we stop these types of entities from calling?  
Ideas?

I have gotten numerous calls on my home phone from Rachel and one from Heather about my credit card services.  I was surprised to get two more on my cell phone.  What is the purpose of the calls?  Everyone is iritated and isn't giving any vital information, so why do they keep calling?  Even more, why can't the phone companies stop this stupidity?

They called my personal cell number.  Recording says they're from "cardmember services," so first thing you think is there's a problem with your credit card.  Then it asks if you would like to have your interest rate reduced, and "this is your last chance" to do so.  Press 1 to speak to a representative."  When I pressed 1,  I got a surly [***] who asked if I wanted my interest rate reduced.  I said, "No, what I want is for you to remove me from your calling list."  I then asked how she got my number, and she hung up right in my ear.  Calling the number back is futile....it just hangs up on you automatically with no one answering the line.

Diagnosis:  This is probably a scam whereby the intent is for some ignorant Sap to actually give them her credit card numbers and then they proceed to clean you out.

I keep getting calls from this number, but there is no message left and when you call back, you get dead air.

Phone # is Salem, OR.. no one picked up on the line.

My number IS on the do not call list.

Get calls from this number 5 or 6 times a day. I ignore them and they never leave a message. Today I decided to do a search and found that I am not the only one getting annoying calls from this number.

I got a call from 503-902-8252 and my cell phone is listed on the do not call list.  How dare they call cell phones anyway!  Something needs to be done about this.  I get calls like this about once a month all from different numbers.  Don't their employees realize that they are working for scammers?

Maybe if we all start calling them back and hanging up over and over, tie up their lines for once, just maybe they'd get a hint that we DO NOT LIKE THEM!

Here is what I do: I don't answer calls I do not recognize. Then I check the numbers here. Then I add them to my contacts under SPAM1, SPAM2, etc. I change the ring profile for that contact to silent, no LED, no vibrate, etc. If they call back I don't even know it. Not perfect, but works.

I have gotten several calls from this number and the same as others below. I don't owe any credit debt and I asked the lady on the other end of the line to take me off the call list, she said okay and hung up on me.

I get calls from this number about once a week at the lunch hour.  It is about lowering a credit card rate.  I am on th do not call list as so many others are and I see that being on that list means nothing to these telemarketers as they know most people will not report them.  When they are reported nothing ever comes of it anyway.

Annoyed by this call !!! Who is it?  Get them off!  I am on the "Do Not Call Registry !!"

I got a call from 503-902-8252, I answered and they didn't talk. when I dialed the number back I got a recording saying "Thank you for calling the national do not call list registry". That is bull crap!!!

None left. Phone rang, I answered, no one spoke.

Every day another Robocall/Telemarketer call and I've been on the DNC List for years and keep renewing.  I finally got empowered by getting Call Blocking from my phone provider.  Now I don't pick up these numbers to let them know I'm home; I google it without answering, look up the comments, and then block them.

I have been called on my cell phone about 4 times now by this number, I seldom answer a call from a number not in my contacts, so I sent them to voicemail every time.  It is getting annoying and I hope it can somehow be resolved.

I've gotten a few calls and with the info you all have provided had a little fun. They started asking about credit card services and I said, "hmmm, you're in Oregon, ok, near Woodburn, hmmm, a mobile phone, let's see......  Astound Broadband.....ok, got the address....I'm on the way."  They hung up.

I have noticed that I receive these unsolicited calls when I apply for a loan online( like a car dealership etc).  I firmly believe the applications are selling the info to solicitors without my consent.

I waited until someone came to the phone asked me about my debt. Listened to them for a few minutes and asked if I gave them my info can I still include them in my bankruptcy. They hung up.
