Have received several calls from this number. Caller ID says Woodburn, OR. Usually receive a call from 971-373-2989 which is Portland, OR on the same day.

The reason a large portion of the people are having trouble with this number is because this number is being "Spoofed" by Delta Outsource Group, a collection agency located in O'Fallon, MO.  They will try and gather enough information to create an account.  Many bank accounts have been drained by this establishment and many "Spoofed" phone numbers have been fraudulently used to aquire information.
This not only hurts people by the harrassment, but also hurts the establishment that the number belongs to.

I've been receiving a lot of calls from this area in Oregon. I am on the DNC list, I guess it just doesn't matter.

It's not Skype, it's a phishing scam. Don't respond to it and don't give them any info.

I live in Portland, OR and just received a call from this number. Caller ID usually displays the name attached to the phone number.  In this case it displayed V041013415800554.  It rang 4 times and when I tried to answer it they hung up.  My home and cell phones are both on the Do Not Call list and I still get them.
Any time you can get them to listen for a moment, I tell them 'do not call this number again I'm on the Do Not Call list' and they usually say something very rude or swear at me and hang up.

These "robo calls" are coming either from a debt consolidation company that ignores both the Do Not Call List and requests for them to stop:

Other than tying up the caller's time by asking them all manner of non-credit card related questions (and then laughing ominously), or giving them the silent treatment after pressing "1", your best course of action is to lodge a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission here:

They call about once a week...sick of it! It's either for a cruise I won or a credit card debt lowering scam. I have actually talked to a person and they hung up when I said take me off this list. This is my cell phone that is on the no-call list.

Left a message that the were calling to "lower my interest rates" that time was running out, etc. No mention of what rate on what product, obviously a blind scam call, similar to many received last year. They seem to occur in swarms.

Ha ha Ha I actually gave these people my new routing number and account number! They knew which bank I did owe money and the exact amount so I thought they were from the bank. Nope after I Googled the number and I found this website I realized this might be a scam so I quickly went to the bank to cancel my account. Caught Ya! So Yes Im saying SCAM! :)

Sounds like a scam call--robot caller says it's about my credit card and how they want to lower my interest rate.  I do not answer these calls.  Unless I initiate the call, I do not EVER give out personal information, or engage in any conversation with these scammers.  I will NOT press any key to continue the conversation.  And I am on the DO NOT CALL list.

Ofcourse, the DNC registry stills works.  Unfortunately it's these scam artists that keep switching numbers.  I have reported every call I don't want and within 4 weeks they do stop.  I does not happen right away, you need some patience, but it does work.  Just consider for a moment how many reports they must get in a given day...heck, a given hour.  I think people assume if they reported a call and the same call comes in the day, then The Do Not Call Registry doesn't work....a bit short sighted and impatient if you ask me.

Called today at 3:19PM.  PACIFICTEL was displayed in caller id.  Husband answered, got a recording and hung up.  Recording said (not exact wording) that "there is nothing wrong with our account, but it's imperative you contact us about lowering your rate."  We are in Virginia and do not do business with this company.  We are on the "National Do Not Call Registry" and this is a violation.  Will report.

I called the number back on my cell phone and received an electronic woman's voice recording saying, "Please leave the number you wish to be placed on our Do Not Call List". I poked in my home phone number and then the recording said "This number will be placed on our Do Not Call List."  What, not every business has THEIR OWN Do Not Call List????  I thought the National Do Not Call List included EVERY Business !!!!! Who T F do they think they are, someone special???

This is the second time that they have called my number, both times using a different number.  The other number was 503-902-8290.

I do not answer any calls if I do not recognize the Caller ID.  I also have my answering machine turned off.

I just don't answer if I do not recomize the #####
