Called my cell at 0910 EST.

Just called a 269 number, no message left.

I answered my cell phone and heard "This is Jesse with..." and then it went blank, the call dropped. Then I googled the 505 number and I discovered Jesse has called others. Good ridance.

you know i think there should be a law against doing this why bother us if we want to buy things we can go to them

"The caller insisted that "this was not a sales call." He then went into his pitch of how he represented "Kids First" and that he wanted to send me two free DVD's. I advised him that he was calling a cell phone. He claimed that they were calling random numbers. He then reiterated his sales pitch of sending two free DVD's. I told him to take me off of their list and said "Goodbye!"

Having dealt with far too many of these types of calls, I'm fairly certain that he either was going to ask for a credit card near the end of the call, or sometime in the VERY near future I would have been sent a bill for the 'free' items and likely some additional items that I also do not want.

just got a call from this number at 9:26am on Thursday, august 14.  decided to check it out on line because i know no one in mexico.  I called them and Jessie answered.  when i ssked why the calley me cell phone, he started to tell me about kids first.  when i t ried to interrupt him to tell him i have no children, he hung up on me....sorta sounded like a recording...i called him back he answered.  When asked him to politley asked him to remove my number he started to say something as i asked him and then mid word he said "no problem" sota wierd....still sounded like a recording.  very monotone like my gps....only male!

Missed call at 9:43am. Called the number back and it rang busy.

I missed the call and I called back. "Jessie" is totally a machine.

Got a call from this number this morning, it appeared in my missed call list on my cell phone. I called the number back the first time it was busy, the second time I got a response. He said he wasn't trying to sell me anything, that it is a non-profit organization wanting to send children's DVD's to me and have me rate them. That's as far as I let him go, I told him I was not interested and he was gracious and thanked me for my time.

They called my wife's cell.  Said, "do U agree there are things on tv that are not good for kids to watch?"  they got her going with that.  She asked how they got her cell #.  He said "Because we are not selling anything we have access to lots more numbers."  She said, we are on no-call list.  He said, we just have your cell #.  Are there any other #'s U want us to put on our no-call list? -- she coughed up my cell number and our home #.  (You might want to say, "what numbers do you show?" instead of giving them more #'s to put on their list, esp since he just said they only had her cell.)  Then they asked, could they send DVD's for her to watch and respond to survey group to help w/new rating system for kids TV.  She said yes, so now he's got our address.  Then they said, "to make sure we send material that's appropriate for your household, how many kids and what ages?"  So now they have that.  They called my cell Saturday morning whle I was doing volunteer work w/disabled kids and I ignored call.  Later I rang back and no answer.  I hope they call me again so I can tell them how much I love them.

wow it's amazing to find you all here with concerns about this number 1-505-247-1942.  I received it august 18 at 3:44pm. I did not pick up because i recall receiving a call from this number before.

These people called me today.  From what I gather, this is a scam so do not answer nor call back.  How do these people get cell phone numbers?????

Said his name is "Jesse" and wanted to give me free movies - he got an earful and told him never to call this number again...he also went thru all of our cell phone numbers of our family, one of which NO ONE has anywhere other tahn the provider.

Called me within the week and did not leave a message.

some how they called my cell phone, not sure who it is, but if it's a telemarketer I will try to get the name of their company and report them, or find out were they are and kick them in the throat.

Woke me at 8:30 am and as I did not recognize the number, did not answer cell phone.  Now that I am awake-eeerrrr-I googled the number and found this website/information.  Unbelievable in this day and age to have to deal with this!  
My policy is that if I do not recognize the number, I will not answer.  If it is legit-they will leave a voicemail and at that I will determine action.  Of course they left no message-its just a nuisance!

I wonder how many people here have Nextel? That's the number they called this morning in Central Ohio. Did NOT pick up, as I do not know the number. I *may* pick up to have them remove me if they call again.

Funny how going through this how many people are from Ohio being called....

I received a call from this # @ 8:49am today which makes it 6:49am in New Mexico) Having lived out there I reqonized the area code but not the #. When I went to check it, this web site popped up so apparently it's a spam #.....
