- Cheryl KnoxI am on the National No Call List but I have received 5 phone calls from this number soliciting credit cards.
- Caller: ???
- Call type: Telemarketer
- EricI received a call, on my cell, from 513-417-0498. No voice, only some static that went dead after a couple of seconds. I suspect it is a failed or miss timed robo-call for some scam credit card help.
- Caller: Unknown
- VickieI get a call from these jerks all the time. I press the #1 to get a live person who I then ask to have me removed from their list. They don't. They just hang up on me. I just got another call and asked the actual name of their company and all they would say was "Account Services for Visa & Mastercard", so I said, "What is the name of YOUR company?" He said that was it. There isn't a company that goes by that name. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he gave me this story about how there aren't any supervisors on the floor. He did offer to have one call me back, but hell if I'm going to tell them my name! When I said that wasn't acceptable, he hung up on me.
I have worked in telemarketing before and they NEVER let us hang up on the customer. We had to apologize for the inconvenience and take them off the list as was requested.
These people are scammers. The guy I just spoke with had a pretty deep accent despite the local appearing number. I'm forwarding the number to my local police department and seeing if I can't get the actual name of a company with this number.- Caller: Account Services Visa & Mastercard
- Call type: Telemarketer
- larby62Got a call from this number. i am on the National No-Call List.
- SteveJust got the call just now and googled the # to see if the free app I put on my android was correct (Mr. Number - no, I don't have any affiliation with it, but heard about it from this forum). I didn't answer to see if they left a vm. When I picked up my phone, the app said it automatically call blocked it. Starting to receive more calls but so far this is the 3 time it worked.
- MichelleIt was a recorded msg about lowering interest rates. I pressed 1 to get to an agent and when i told her to take my phone number off their lists she hung up on me! Then i tried calling the number back and it said it was an invalid number! MOST DEFINITELY A SCAM.
- Caller: Card Services
- JeremiahLol...just got the call at 10:55 am...no voicemail....i cant believe how many of us are here about it....times are changing for these [***] apparently
- TonyLooks like the b@stards are busy today. They hung up as soon as I answered.
- Caller: [***] Inc.
- addieHad a missed call on my cell at 11:13 cst. when i called back i got the number was no longer in service.
- BrendaReceived call on cell phone. I was working, so didn't answer it. Called back at lunch time. This phone number is not a working number. I guess I was spared of the cussing and other things. Darn it.
- AshleyGot this call many times from different numbers...they just won't quit!
They called offering to lower my interest rates for my credit card but I have no credit cards!
Its a scam for sure cuz b4 I told them I have no credit cards they asked for my credit card number!
Insane! Then when I did say No credit card they hung up on me.
I wonder how do I report these scammers?- Caller: Unknown
- lindaGot a call from the same number on my cell phone. I touched the number to get a customer service rep. They answered and he said, "are you calling to take advantage of the lower interest rate?" I said, "I'm calling to have my number removed from your list please." He hung up. I really wish there was a way to identify these companies. Next time I will go through the process long enough to find out who they are. I bet however that they won't reveal themselves if I don't give them some personal information first. I don't think so!
- Caller: don't know
- Call type: Telemarketer
- brandonthey just called ma and when i answered there was nothing on the other end. when i called back, it said its not a valid phone number
- BoogeI answered and they asked me if I wanted to lower my rate. I told them I was interested in raising my rate, as I had way too much money. They were confused.
Then I asked if they could make it so I could order a pizza with saudage and mushrooms. They hung up.
These calls are frequent these days, and i suggest everyone takes the approach of being a prankster. It can actually make you happy they called if you get to prank them.
:)- Caller: unknown
- AlexTheyve called twice. On the second call I pressed "1" to speak to a rep. The asshat that answered began to ask me questions about my credit card debt (which I dont have). I said "Who are you?". And he responds "Sir, to continue I will need to ask you some questions to help you lower your reates... how much major credit card debt do you have?". I said "No, I don't have ANY major credit card debt. Who are you and how'd you get my number??". At that point the [***] hung up on me.
Scum bags. It's obviously a scam. I made the mistake by answering and now I'm in the system as a "working number".
Do yourself a favor and DONT PICK UP.
Next time they call, I'll troll them and give them false information.- Caller: No idea
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Julie LeeThis is the 3 time in 2 week this numbers has called my cell. When I hit one to find out who they are
they hang up on me. I just what them to stop calling me - Stop Annoying MeGot a call at 8:00 pm EST on 3/14/12 and they did not leave a message. I am on do not call registry too. The least they could do is leave a message so we could OPT OUT of their annoying calls. Who would want to do business with them if they can't respect my wishes and don't call me!
- Caller: Unknow
- TBCalled twice by this number on my cell phone today. No answer, then they hung up.
- don RobertoGot a call from 513-417-0498 on my cell. Since I didn't recognize it, and don't want to pay for cell minutes if I don't have to, I let it go to voicemail (which it didn't). When I tried to call back from another line, I got "The number you have dialed is not a working number." Any company that fakes its caller ID is not a legitimate company, IMO. I'll block 'em.
- don Roberto replies to megThey didn't find a loophole, they're just breaking the law. They don't care because the Do Not Call registry is only sporadically enforced, and they've spoofed their caller ID. By the time someone with authority tracked them down, they'd be long gone anyway, so they just keep plying their vile trade.
