Given that they called my husbands cell, 15 minutes later called my cell and 5 minutes after that called the house. They got the phone numbers from somewhere because they are no where close.

Got the same travel dollars message which was recorded by a man with a British Accent.  I'm on the Do not call list too and just got this number calling me yesterday.  Will have to report it.

Got  a call form the number (514) 204-8989. I didn't recognize the number so i never picked up. Tried to "Canada 411.com" but it did not come up as anything. I then Googled it, and found this site.

I've gotten this call on my cell a couple of times now, one with a female voice and one with a male voice. Unusually both from the same number -- usually they spoof different numbers when doing this. I never got these calls on my cell before I registered it with the DNCL. I removed it from the list once I started to get calls, but the damage was done.

Came back from a meeting to see a missed call on my cell from this number. Very annoying - how did they get my number?

been getting these for a about a year ago, you would be suprised on how many times youve written your phone number in for something, not actaully knowing what their privacy policies are, i just ignore any call that i dont know, if its extremely important they will call back more than once

Just got "another" call from this number. Didn't answer it. googled it and it's A. Amirault at 95 Fleming Street, Moncton NB. No idea who this is and they didn't leave a message.
I don't have my number displayed anywhere on the internet - and am on the do not call list.

Beryl - BE CAREFUL.  The number you searched has area code 506 not 514.  Don't accuse innocent people.  514 belongs to Montreal on this handy website:  http://www.cnac.ca/npa_codes/npa_map.htm
So the DNC list should apply - but since trying to call back doesn't work - they are obviously spoofing their caller ID and ignoring the DNC list doesn't matter to somebody doing that.  I got a call from 514-204-8989 on my office number, but I ignored it.

It's not the cell phone companies selling it. I think mine was sold by american express. They called both my work cell and personal. The only people who have both is AMEX.

got the call too. Companies actually down load the dnc list and use it as a list, you may wanna remove your number from any list. If the company dialing is from out of country there is nothing the crt can do about it. Its illegal for any telephone company to sell thier cellular numbers, but there employees down load them and sell them illegally. $5000.00 is the going rate for a 250,000 person list of unlisted phone numbers.

Just called my bell cell in Ontario for the 2nd time in 3 days - fortunately couldn't figure which pocket my cell was in so missed the call!

just called me. I sent them a bunch of empty texts back. hopefully it costs them something

Just got called from this number in BC but since it was an out of province call I didn't answer.  Thank goodness for caller ID and voice mail.  If it is important they'd leave a message.

It is true - they give your number to third party companies, then when you try to call the number back it is never in service! My boyfriend caught them up with "can you remove me from the calling list" which worked for him after some arguing, then when my son tried it they were denying everything -- this is with Fido first, then Rogers...I just got a call from the 514-204-8989 too...grrrr!!

I have an unlisted number for a REASON, I don't care if it's auto dialed or not.
What is hell is the point of this damn site if there are so many people complaining why hasn't anything been done?

Received a call Apr 26th from 514-204-9988 but missed it for some reason.

Received 2 calls today from 514-204-8989. Answered both but didn't press any buttons in response, except to end call.

Both phone numbers originated in Quebec, Canada according to the phone log.

Called on my unlisted - or so I thought - cell phone. Since I use a pay as you go system, and I know no one in Quebec - I'm in Vancouver BC - I didn't answer. Not going to waste money on spam..

This number is calling me both at work and at home. I'm never at either numbers when they call, but the messages they leave are some automated incoherent English. Its incredibly irritating.
