This number called my cell twice this week (Vancouver)

scam "you have won..."

thanks danR, this is a terrific idea.

* I always keep these sorts of numbers and label them 'junk'. After about 10-12 different ones,
* all named junk, I rarely get new ones. They just show up named 'junk', and I can just ignore
* them.
* Better phones can put them all in one caller-group, and give the group a silent-ring option.

Call me again, and it will cost you big bucks, this is a private number. consider yourself NOTICED.

I'm in Ontario and I just got a call from this number, as well.. I'm with Bell and I get a lot of calls from random area codes and just don't pick up- from the look of this forum, it's a good thing!

Yup they just called my cell, I dont pick up calls outside of BC and unknown

They called my cell # in BC....called them back, got a message there is no service for this number!!!!!!!!!

Just called my BC Cell at 2pm PST.
I didn't answer...

Don't pickup it's a scam

I'm from Toronto, and they called me. I aren't picking up a long distance call from a stranger.

Seriously, everyday I get these random people calling me.

The only thing to do is not pick up. Waste of time and your money.

got a call on my Virgin cellular network from Quebec 514-204-8989 at 11:41AM PST Friday May 14.  ignored call and no message left.

nobody has my cell # except family and i never give my cell # to anyone.

any calls that come on my cellular network are on caller id and anyone not recognized on the caller id will be unanswered, blocked, and will report any suspicious callers,

my cell is on the DO NOT CALL LIST and would like whomever is calling me to STOP!

Using a FIDO Cell phone. As other said, I rarely give out this number to anyone. Probably a scam.

Called me at 189:43 today, Normally do not answer unknown numbers but GF is in the hospital and was waiting for test results so I did.  (416) 219-XXXX

ya, they called me and said congradulation you won 2000.00 press 1 to continue,and then ask me for a credit card! i told them ! I don't have one! and then they hong up!!!!!!!

I also just received a call from this number 514-590-8989.  I didn't answer.  They call my Manitoba cell phone #.

I got charged for a 47 minute international call from this number!  I don't even know anyone in Canada!  This is so bogus!

These Jerks call me and wake me up every 2nd or 3rd week, always from a slightly different number.  You would think the phone company's could identify these crooks. Today, (778) 370-8989, others, (519) 516-9898, (780) 851-8989, (709) 415-8989 and a few others.  I'm on Telus (Koodo) in Kelowna BC.
