The phone companies make money on the numbers they have actived

Same number called me in manitoba. Before you blame the companies, make sure your number is nowhere on the web. I mean white pages, linkedin or any other social sites. Spammers/ scammers scrape these type of numbers and use them.

Unfortunately mine was open in one place that I forgot. I think these people got a hold of the number from there.

Called me April 26 at 10 pm on a sask tel pre-paid cell phone (I'm in North Battleford, Sask.).  Didn't answer the call, number showed Quebec on telephone, but looked up the number and it comes up to A.Amirault in Moncton, NB. I agree...what happened to the new regulations regarding these type of calls!!!!

They've called me a couple times, same area code and prefix, but last 4 numbers a bit different. Our cell phone providers like to sell our numbers.

Hum....crazy how many people get this crap.  Just googled the number to find them and found this.  Said it was a number in New Brunswick or something like that.  Awesome this site is here.

Several people in our private office for a company based out of Toronto get this call.  We are technically in Regina to.

Just got this call in Ontario on my cell.. Did not answer.. This is not the first time i get a call like this on my cell.. Not too happy my number is being recognized by these annoying pain in the butt scams.

Got a call just minutes ago from this number but refused to answer. I think I have seen a similar call before. Looked it up here to be safe. I am from Kitchener, just west of Toronto, Ontario.

i get a weird call and i can just google it

computer generated.  when you answer, a recording kicks in with Congratulations you won x amount of dollars when i called back, i got "this number is not in service"

They just called my cell here in Brandon, MB. Didn't bother to answer, and happy I didn't.

This is my 32 times call for 3 month I get call while I'm working or/and driving (New laws for driving while on phone is banned!) what are they thinking call me few time when I'm driving and I thought DNCL should be taking care of this problems!????? are they closed down? and one things I never give out the number and yet I wish someone steal this number to end this problems

I got this call today.  Caller ID said "international call", but the area code gave it away.  No Spanish, just an excited voice claiming "congratulations".  I hung up at that point.

I just received a call from this number. My phone is on the do not call registery.

Started getting this call today, about 3 hours after i cleared up my debt with Ontario govt student loans collections in belleville......hmmmmm

North Bay ontario here and i am on the DNC list as well... What i want to know is not only where is the CRTC on this but the call is put through bell - why are they not making sure its the actual number thats calling not some bogus one???
