J'ai recu un appel cet apres-midi de ce numero (ils n'ont pas laissés de message).  Ils ont rappelés a 20:50 !!  La Gazette.  Quand j'ai passé la remarque a celui qui a appelé qu'il etait 20:50, il m'a repondu d'un ton arroguant: "on travaille jusqu'a 21:00 monsieur"...  Merci pour le numero de plainte (plus haut dans les messages), je vais les appeler dès que possible.

Je viens d'appeler au 514-843-9400 afin de formuler une plainte et de faire retirer moin numero.  J'ai fait comprendre a celui qui a repondu que je m'attendais de ne plus jamais entendre parler d'eux.  Merci a celui ou celle qui a publié le 514-843-9400 !   :)

I just received a call from this number but I didn't pick it up. Certainly like that they have these comments posted now so that I can figure out who is calling.

I think everyone posting the fact that we all received numerous calls from that number is not solving the problem. The prove is that the first post dates from 26 Jul 2007, and still today, the problem continues. I believe the real question is what can we do about it? If I understand correctly, it is not the Gazette's doing, but Teleze's doing, for the Gazette. And yet, after some complaints to the Gazette from some people here, the Gazette does not seem to care to improve the situation. Then maybe, we're not talking to the right people. This matter should be taken higher. Maybe the people at the Gazette who can do something about this are just not aware of the problem! And if we can't get through to those people by ourselves, then we need to find ways to attract the attention of the decision makers at the Gazette such as using other media to make the problem become publicly known. I think future posts should concentrate on helping to find ways on how to: Talk to another newspaper about the problems created by one of their competitor, talk to a radio company who would bring the matter on air, talk to any organization that deals with the Protection des droits du consommateur, etc..., so the right people can become aware of the problem.

THE NUMBER THAT'S CALLING YOU FROM 514-8435554 IS THE GAZETTE COMPANY TRYING TO SELL YOU NEWSPAPER.DON'T FALL FOR IT AND DON'T BUY FROM THEM.THEY TELL YOU IT'S 99 CENTS THEN WHEN YOU RECEIVE THE BILL IT A WHOLE DIFFERENT NIGHTMARE SO I'VE BEEN TOLD.JUST HANG UP ON THEM OR BETTER YET BLOCK THEIR NUMBER OR JUST DON'T ANSWER.THEY ARE VERY ANNOYING AND NEED TO GET A LIFE AND STOP HARRASSING PEOPLE.

Just called, someone answered, apparently the company is Tel Ease, they offer The Montreal Gazette at a discount price!

Just got a call from this person at supper time...really annoying.

Received a call from that number about an hour ago although do have DNC tel #.  Have tried w/yellow pages to find the name and address of caller without success.  I'm happy to have read and found this page.  I have answered in French...there was a silence on the line.  Tried to call back.. but the line was busy.  I will call the Gazette at 514-987-2400 ..thanks for the info.  Hope Bell Canada can put a stop in this very annoying instance.

Happens today, I can see is The Gazzette. The sales department is really a burdel. I moved from Montreal and they still doing the delivering 6 month in my old adress.

They keep calling at my place, but as I don't pick up the phone when it's an unknown caller, I never knew who it was.  I'm happy that I checked it up, now, and I'm certainly going to do what has to be done in order to have this stop.  My number is on the Canadian "no-call" list, I should not be harrassed by telemarketers.

I have been receiving irritating calls form this phone number every day.  They did not leave messages, and if i answered, they said nothing and hung up.  I called them and they were always busy.  Then I found this post "
The company name is Teleze and they say they work with the Gazette as a calling Center. The main phone number is (514) 843-6501..."  I called and they confirmed it was them, I asked that they take my number off their list and they said ok and were actually nice about it.  Im crossing my fingers hoping they will really stop.

I've just got a call from 514-843-5554 - "hello, hello,..." but nobody answered... :(

i called 514 843-6501 asked them to take me off the list..he tells me for the next 3 years i wont get any calls thats what the crtc allows... that lentgh of time to pass and then they start again..so messed up

I have received a call from these people three times today. I wasted spending $1.25 each time using *69. When I returned the call I got an answering machine that said to leave a message. I have a feeling the my message was not recorded. There was no click or disconnection when I finished. A real pain in the butt

I received a call from (514) 843-5554 at 5:50 PM. When I answered in English nobody spoke, then I said 'oui' and a French guy said 'oui' and nothing more. I waited and then he asked for me by name. I told him he had the wrong number. He said 'ok' and hung up and I never heard from him again. ;)

Can you believe the caller when he/she said it's from the Gazette?  They could be people who are checking houses to see if there's anyone home.

ANNOYING!!! When you do call back it's a voice mail all in french can't make out the name and the mail box is full~!!!

If this were indeed The Gazette wouldn't the meaage be in English?
