Report a phone call from 616-980-4030 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- PGAGI says they are Bank of America, but they are NOT Bank of America or a representative. It is an effective identity theft scam. The hook is showing a name and number to caller ID to get you to pick up.
I received a call from AGI, 616-980-4030. The person thanked me for having a BoA Texas A&M card (which I do not have), then went through an uninterrupted spiel on the danger of identity theft, and they were selling identity theft monitoring. After two minutes of the monologue, she asked me to verify my personal information. I told her I hated Bank of America, and if they have me down as having a BoA card, I'd better start calling the credit bureaus. I said to "strike me from your lists". She said "Thank you", and hung up. They haven't called since.
When I called BoA, they verified I didn't have a credit card in my name at all, and was not being solicited by them in any way. As much as I don't like BoA, they worked well with me. It's unlikely AGI ever solicited for BoA; otherwise they would know I didn't have the card they described. Whatever telemarketers do, they can't lie about your status as a cardholder.- Caller: AGI
- JeffToday -- just 20 minutes ago I rec'd a phone call from this number and company, as I saw on the caller ID display. I did answer the telephone, but when there was a lag of several seconds with no pickup on the calling end, I hung up.
Then I looked up the number on this site, and filed a complaint over the telephone with the National Do Not Call Registry (1-888-382-1222).
This website is very useful!!
Thanks!- Caller: AGI
- bonnieAGI. Trying to sell credit card insurance. Calling on behalf of Bank of America. Have been calling here for months. Tell them to put me on do not call list, and they just keep calling. Got a relly rude one today who inspired me to call bank to complain, and will be filing report with State Attorney General's office. We are on the do not call registry as well. Wants to send me something free in the mail that will cast $12.95 a month. When i asked questions, she said "If you were listening to me you would already know that" DON'T CALL HERE AND SPEAK TO ME THAT WAY !!!! Way to go Bof A!!! Way to win friends and influence people!!!!!!!!

- james fitzgibbonsthey never stop calling all hours.
- SueI was sick of repeated 616-980-4030 numbers appearing on my caller ID, so I picked up the phone. The lady said she was calling on behalf of Bank of America and wanted to enroll me in a credit score/report subscrption which I could terminate before the 30 days as to avoid a charge on my credit card. I did not provide any information except for my email address, she (caller) provided me with my mailing address, the last four digits of my social security number and obviously, my home telephone number. After the the phone call with AGI, I contacted Bank of America by telephone. They said they have not heard, nor use a third party called AGI, but they do work with AIG (a publicly reputable insurance company). They advised I contact other companies with whom I have credit cards with. Again, my credit card companies denied having ever heard of or using AGI. So beware! Do NOT give out any information. If you have any questions, get a number and call them back, or directly call the original company they are calling on behalf for.

- JulieEvery evening we get a call from this company asking for my husband. Every time I spoke it out to them that he works the evening shift. Tonight, I got a call from Vanessa, and I was screaming that we don't want this service, and they should leave us alone! I also told them that we turn them into the government. I've had enough.

- MDaily calls from this number.
- JohnI receive calls all the time from this number; usually I let the answering machine pick up.
However one day, by mistake I picked up and a woman claiming to be from Bank of America answered. I said I was not interested and that was that. The next day I received a call from a charity group that I had stopped donating to and therefore stopped answering their calls. From this rather thin thread of evidence I suspect that this number is connected to a group that tries to verify information or active phone numbers listed on the many mailing lists that are available.- Caller: AGI
- RonMultiple calls per day....very annoying. Reported to Feds via complaint routine on national do-not-call website. Hasn't helped so far, but will continue to file a complaint upon each and every call from these telemarketing [***].

- Gorkget calls all the time from these jerks. If I do answer it's a recording asking me to call a number to hear about BoA's offers. If I dont answer Iget a voicemail asking if I want to opt out then I have to enter my number after some a pre-recorded human voice saying "beep". Real pros here.
Anyway I called the number above - 630-955-9100.
Again you are met with automated prompts. These guys don't like to talk to people I'm guessing bottom feeders like these folks don't like to come to the surface. Anyway After pressing some buttons and following prompts I got this this man's extension:
Bruce Bowers - extension 3064.
He is the one who you need to talk to to get to the bottom of all this.- Caller: AGI (on behalf of bank of America
- AnonymousThey call multiple times a day and never leave a message on the machine. I refuse to pick up the phone when they call.
- D JohnosnThree times a day and never leave a message
- JsillThey call all hours of the day and night, don't leave a message and if you do answer they hang up. If you call the number shown they say they are AGI working on behalf of Bank of America..which is a lie. Then they state if you want to be taken off their calling list leave your number at the beep. Then someone clearly says "BEEEEP". Very odd.
I didn't leave my number but I did file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission through www.donotcall.gov
Please do the same. You will need to fill out the number that called you and then on the next page the name of the company and number. Here it is:
Americall Group and the number is 888-801-5627. - .it is AIG Insurance 800 613 6942. they hire AGI as their marketing company. report them to bbb, call attorney general and report to consumer fraud 8003865438.

- S Beecherphone number 616-980-4030 -AGI....I get numerous phone calls from them at all different hours, sometimes several times a week and several times a day!
They never leave a message.
I hate it, how do I make it stop?? - JAnyone a lawyer here? I'm thinking we should find a lawyer and sue the jerks for harrasement. I get one phone call a day, which I tend to ignore. I finally picked one up, they asked for me by name, I said it was I, and then they hung up on me.

- HubsterI have a fax machine hooked up to my incoming phone line, so when a telemarketer calls they get an ear full. Unfortunately, that gag only works with live telemarketers and not automated dialers. Anyways, I get the AGI phone calls 2-3 times a day, but they are not the only culprits.

- DLHI have received calls from this number daily for weeks and sometimes 4 times per day. A message is never left so I've figured they aren't legitimate. I have never answered them until yesterday. The person identified themselves as from BofA. She then proceeded to inform me that they had my credit report and wanted to send it to me. I rudely told her that I didn't believe her and told her to stop calling me or I would sue them for harassment. I received another call this morning and I rudely told that person the same thing and then hung up on him. I HOPE this stops. It's nothing but a scam so please don't give them ANY information.
- Caller: (Claiming to be) Bank of America
- J-LoSame number; multiple calls a day, several days a week. I never answer. It goes straight to answering machine, which picks up, then clicks off.
- TammyIt's NOT Bank of America, it's a FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD, and they need to be reported to the BBB, Feds, Bank of America, DoNotCall list, etc. DON'T GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO THESE GUYS AND WARN ALL YOUR FRIENDS!
