I've been getting calls from this #. One time it did pop up Milward Brown and I googled Milward Brown. It is evidently a huge recognized market research company as they do one of the top 10 and 100 brands list; they do research for companies like GE, Microsoft, Apple, McDonalds, Coco-Cola, Google, to name a few, and they have been featured on CNN, and in BusinessWeek. They have other subsidiaries like Kantar Ops. They are not a terrorist group. That being said, I don't want them calling me either, just tell them to take your number off the list, and they will.

One other note... Research Marketers are exempt from the DO NOT CALL list as well as non-profit organizations asking for donations. The only people affected by the DO NOT CALL list is telemarketers selling stuff. So, reporting them does no good. Check the DO NOT CALL LIST website, it's there in black and white. I wish there was a way to stop them as well.

I also saw somewhere where they said it is illegal to block these numbers and that is a lie. The only numbers you can't block are from your debtors. My phone co. gives us the option to block #'s, and you can purchase blockers also.

Got a call last night from this number.  Only the phone number came out on the caller id.  Tonight the name Millward Brown came out.  A search on this name brings up a marketing type firm.

I received two calls within 40 minutes of each other at my work number. One came up "Unknown" and the other cam up as "Millward, Brown".
No message left.

@ 5:25 a lady called, it was marketing research.

I keep getting calls from this number.  I usually don't answer but I was getting tired of all the calls so I finally answered and no one was there.
What can I do to stop the calls.

Everyone... As I am reading this and hearing everyone invoke the "Do not call"... If you give your number out, they can call you.  Just like your friends.  And that is how they get your number.  You will need to answer and tell them to stop calling.  If that does not work, then you can take action.  But just being on a list will not do anything for you.

This number showed up on my caller ID tonight @6:17 PM.  No message. Who are they and what do they want?

I anserwed the phone they asked if it was a business I said it was they apologized and hung up

We've been getting a call from this number every couple of days; we don't answer it... comes up "Kantor Ops" as well. Our number is on the national do not call list; I'm going to report it right now to the FCC, (online reporting, easy to do.) cause I'm tired of this.

go to www.donotcall.gov to register your personal number, as well as make a complaint about this one.

oh. hmmmmm. well, maybe not, but it can't hurt to try. Next time I will answer, and try telling them directly to please stop calling me.

Called about 7:30 PM Sunday, October 26. No answer to repeated Hellos.

I answered the call but no one would say anything. I am on the no call list.

Yes,  they have been calling me,  i am in the national DO NOT CALL list too, but it seems to be that marketers are not respecting this.  I never answer unknown numbers, or sometimes a just pick the phone and remain quiet.

looking to see who number this is and I see that their are other people getting bothered as well.  We got it at 7:00 pm on a Snday

It is Kantar Ops they are calling to do a survey to see how you feel about telephone companies in your area.

They do not say anything but their number shows up on my caller as Millward Brown.

We received a call fromthis number. They left a message for my son who is participating in a survey about beverages. So that is how they got our phone number.
