I was called by some guy Wes, he called over and over, then I found the $1500 cost after half an hour on the phone. He keeps saying it's not an ad, but it is, he is a liar.

When I told him no, he got VERY rude, called me stupid.

Don't go with them, they are a SCAM.

SCAM is what they say, but I was trained by Mike Knoop to call that way. we never told the high price before a long time on the phone and after many questions to make them feel good about them selves. when you start working for Perks Card you are told to ask questions, don't give answers, this comes from the owner Mike Knoop here in Phoenix. So all I was doing was making my pay, and everyone says SCAM. You people get all kinds of calls, why am I called a SCAM?

Lasik Expert has detailed _exactly_ my experience, too.

The only difference was Fred replaced Valerie and evidently has his own extension.
Fred, or his handlers, have done their homework, as the VA Hospital system has added massive solar electric to some of its hospitals across the nation.

I would not be quite so gentle as Lasik Expert, as if one part is a scam, then scam qualifyies for the entire operation. It was truly an artful presention, deceptive but artful.

    Valerie,
Would you give the pitch to your Mother? Would you take her $1500?
If not, then perhaps you should not be giving it to strangers.
If it looks like a scam, walks like a scam, talks and smells like a scam, then; probably, it is a scam.
    Thanks

We NEVER asked for any of this, why say we did?
They use the name of the hospital, and then they scam people out of money.

    REMAX Broker
The perks card keeps calling, after looking into this, I find that they are the SAME company that Remax uses for our bad health plans Augeo Benefits.
When you call for some overpriced Remax health plan, you get connected to Augeo Benefits, they own Perks card, also been calling me.

Remax did nothing for us, just gave us the number to some commission sales guys that try and jam crap down your throat, JUST like the Perks Card.

What a joke, I would NEVER do business with Perks Card, it's a bad idea.

Augeo Benefits is just another clone of this mess - a SCAM.

It's odd the post above mentions Augeo Benefits, they do our total CRAP health insurance too. I did call and ask, Augeo Benefits is also Perks Card, same scam trying to sell me something.

I have to wonder why is Perks Card, doing business as Augeo Benefits still in business? Not enough complaints already?

I called my local BBB about Perks Card when I got the second call from Amber, they had no record of this company. A second call to the BBB, asking about Augeo Benefits was better, many issues!

Perks Card = SCAM - Augeo Benefits too-  SCAM

I saw perks scam pop up in google and it took me to this page. I get what your all saying but its not a scam its just an advertising service and ups your potential for customers. As for the one 13 hours before me who "called" bbb all you have to do is go on bbb.com and they're right there in black and white with an A rating and 1 complaint that's been resolved. So you guys can blog all you want but its all a croc of crap if the bbb hasn't approved your complaints.

If you don't want to advertise than don't, billboard are advertising too. They cost alot more than $1000 and they don't offer any guarantee anyones coming to your store either. So lets apply your rules to everything and make all commercials on tv and billboards and ads in magazines illegal because advertising must be a scam. I looked into some of their clients such as home depot and Starbucks. Now I know all you bloggers are brainiacs but I think just maybe home depot and Starbucks would have checked them out and made sure it's not a scam before they signed on with them. But you guys are all right you must be smarter than all of those company's lawyer's combined!

They are a total scam because the contract they bring to you is different than they are saying on the phone.  what they say on the phone is carefully devised to be intentionally ambiguous to take advantage of legal loopholes.  According to the contract, they make a disclaimer in a very fine print that they don't have any relationship or endorsement with or from the organization they say they represent except for a letter they got from the organization.  The content of the letter is not disclosed therefore it can be anything.. even "do not send anything to us from now on" letter.  With that disclosure, you are basically paying them to make discount cards and send them to the organization again regardless they want or use or distribute to their members.  The contract makes another disclaimer that they do not guarantee whether the organization will use the cards or the benefit offering at all.  I talked to them yesterday for 30 mins.  i feel like i have wasted my time with great discomfort of the thought that they are companies like that in the world sucking the blood of desperate small business owners in already bad economy.

After reading all of these posts, talking to the individual at the Perks co, and seeing the Email packet, I believe this is NOT A SCAM.  It should be looked at as another form of marketing/advertising.  Spending $1,000 a year for a potential to have your companies name in front of  several hundred people is pretty inexpensive.

I see no benefit directly with my company investing, but I am sure there are some success stories out there.  For example, if a mortgage company makes about $2,000 per customer, and you spen $1,000 to get that one customer, you recoup the fee and make a profit.  However if you need several customers to make that initial investment back, chances are much less likely.

Just use your head.  Be smart and you won't be ripped off

Got an email then a phone call from Perks Card.  They wasted valuable time by not disclosing that they wanted to charge $995 to advertise to Virginia Mason Employees even though I asked about money first thing.  After I hung up they called another ASPM Staging company and told them I was calling back on Monday and seriously considering joining.  Which was of course a complete lie...
