they kept calling my parents house. i dont live there anymore therefore my father told them to stop calling me at that number but didnt give my new number away. they wouldnt give him any specific details as to what the phone call was regarding, said it was "personal". always a girl named lisa. after 3 weeks of calling about 3 times a day this lisa person shows up at there house!..is this legal?! what can i do to stop them. its obviously some sketchy business and i dont trust it at all! not only that, but i/ve also gotten weird calls from 2 other numbers. one saying that i was being sued, found out that was a scam. and another that keeps calling hanging up and leaving no message. I didnt put my phone number anywhere online. what could be the cause of all of this?

Multiple calls daily - no one there - no voicemail - can't call back. Traced the number to Client Services, they are trying to collect on my Target Card - I am working directly with the Target folkls to get this taken care of.  Rude folks ... what kind of a poor neglected socially malfunctioning paste eating numbskull do you have to be to work for Client Services?

This company keeps calling and is rude... they are now calling my husbands cell phone.  I dont know how they got his number. the calls are for my widowed 75 year old mother... her husband just died 6 months ago and left her virtually destitute. I dont know how to end these calls. from what I have read the best thing to do is file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission... but im sure they need more than one person to complain about their unprofessional tactics to make a difference. the link to complaint is below if anyone needs it.

    calling about a neighbor
They called us asking if we had info on how to contact our neighbor.   I put them on call block.  My advice to all of of you is to invest in a phone that has this feature.  my Panasonic can block up to 30 calls at a time and when it gets full you just start erasing the ones that have stopped calling.  When a caller who is blocked calls you all they get is a busy signal and you hear a short ring then it stops.  Eventually they will stop calling!

I'd be careful because of what's going on. Credit card companies are using out side debt collectors to collect their debt for them and if not they will sue you. Can someone say which card they represent.

Guys I recommend you stop giving these people ANY information.  I think the entire thing is a scam.  They are NOT a collections agency.  I have received literally 40 or 50 calls from these people over the last 9 - 10 months or so.  Out of all of those times they have got my full name right ONCE, which I imagine isn't hard to do these days.  Strangely enough they always ask for "Robert," but then they follow it up with, "Hello Mr. <not my last name>."  When I tell them that's not me they apologize and hang up the phone.  I'm not sure exactly who these a$$holes are but they are clearly data mining for something.  Those of you that owe people money keep this fact in your pocket when they call.  A LOT of people owe money to someone.  It's very easy to get you hooked by posing as a collections agency.  Read through these comments you will see a few about how they said they got the number from an ex-spouse.  Guess what?  50% of this country is divorced.  Haha!  Another easy way to rope you in.  Two to do:  1)  Pick up the phone and tell them nothing.  Whoever they ask for tell them they don't live here or 2)  Don't answer it at all.

A "Skip Mason" Called on 3/11/2011 at 3:14 p.m. and stated that he was from Client Services., looking for a "john Grant" in Placerville, California. I told him he had the wrong number.
He called back on 3/4/2011 at 8:35 a.m. and gave me a social security number. He asked if it was mine and I told him no and do not call back here.

I've been getting calls for my 80-year old mom from this number and they always tell me "it's a personal matter". They keep calling even after I told them she's no longer in the country. They even have the nerve to ask me for the number where she's at overseas! I told them to go to hell.
