Just checked why my son's mobile bill was £7.50 more than usual. Got charged £4.50 for a text and another 10p 5 days later. Don't know what happened. We just called the number to check what it was and then googled it and found these posts. Hope I am not going to be charged again. I am going to contact T-mobile. How can this scam last for so long?

been charged 10p for text to 82018 then was charged 4.50 for a premium text received from 700046033 no text was sent from this phone.

This service has double price points when you text it will cost 10p then a further 4.50 will be charged via premium text message.

I had this two months on the trot, £4.50 a pop, I just called and complained to Virgin mobile who at least this time acknowledged that this IS a scam and they have been inundated with complaints.

If you pay by DD and notice this on your bill call them before they take your payment as they removed the £4.50 charge on mine straight away, if you have paid your bill there is nothing they can do so be careful guys, ok. This is in stark contrast of a few months back when I too got accused by Virgin Mobile of using the trigger text and I never use my phone for the Internet, never have and never will!

I WAS ADVISED BY VIRGIN MOBILE THAT YOU MUST ALSO TEXT 'STOP' BACK TO 82018 TO PREVENT ANY FURTHER COST FROM MBIZ SAMSUNG.

I have three £4.50 charges on my current Virgin mobile bill on my Samsung phone which are listed as premium texts.

I don't know what these are. Could my grandchildren have initiated them by playing a penguin game on my phone?

Who do I complain to? How can I block such texts?

I to was tinkering with my phone and went to come out of the free trial, it said.I have been charged £4.50... It tell me when you unlock the code then you accept terms and conditions. I dont want the game, it better no debt my account, Im not going to enter the code so I should not be charged. They will get it from me if they charge me.Not happy.......................

Bunch of crooks.  Have been doing this for the last 4 years.  They are based in Kingston, near London.  They should be stopped from defrauding vulnerable children, sending these texts without their parents permission.

My grand-daughter has done the same thing on Saturday  I've been change £4.50 I ha.ve not done anything to accept the game. Rang  0845 600 6105 (which was given to me by Tesco) was told they would ask for a refund after reading some of the stories looks like  i'll be waiting a long time
