- LUEser| 1 replyDom,
We agreed. FDCPA compliance. It's in the settlement. Why, after the March 15th court date, are people at your company still harassing debtors? I have a feeling this acceleration clause will be going into effect very soon.
My thread, you guys can follow my little adventure with Marval:

- JERRYI have been receiving call from a Frank Hughes and a Mrs Nixon , threatening criminal charges and they even offered a settlement but want don't give me an address where to send payments---they want bank acct numbers---NO Way

- kls23I just received a call from these people. The message left was from a Wayne Williams claiming to be some kind of invesitgator for fraud. He said he needed to call back and IMMEDIATELY (he said that 4 times!) and make a statement about the fraud I had been committing. First of all, I am unaware of any fraud that I have committed in mu entire life. Second of all, who do these people think they are? So I called the number back and spoke with a nice lady who explained it all to me. She basically told me that the guy who called is an investigator, but not any kind of law enforcment. She said they are a collection agency and the people who call will say anything and everything to scare you enough to make some kind of payment arrangement with them. She said there have been cases when a loan was taken out in someone's name through identity theft and they have scared the person enough to pay!!!! I couldn't believe this. I asked the lady to email me something to let me know exactly what this is for and I would need to think about this before making any kind of decision. What I'm really doing is forwarding this to my attorney with statements from all of the people this place has contacted regarding this matter. They have pretty much called everyone I know and how they were able to get their phone numbers is a mystery to me.

- DeborahA lady called in my work looking for me and she said that my name and social security is faxed at williamson country to garnish my account and she ask the last digit of my social security number and when I ask her who she is she didnt tell me here name then she told me to go ahead and transfer her to the payroll department.
- msyourworstnitemare| 4 repliesOk all you extra smart debtors that keep whining about what is illegal to say and what is not. So what you got a call from the pre legal department nothing illegal at all. How do you know if there is a prelegal departement alot of collection agencies have them. And if your that much of a dead beat you couldn't pay a payday loan back, or should I say you were the broke dumb-a55 who took out the high interest loan and allow the company to take thier payments back direct from your bank account and risk overdrafting your bank account. Who does that? Most of you people took out the loan knowing you were not paying a cent and closed your bank account before a payment even hit the account. That is fraud. so if I called anyone and said I was with the pre legal department there is in fact a prelegal department. And if I said I was calling about fraud it's because the payday loan company marked it as that debtor closing thier account. The only people I wouldnt consider fraud are the people who put stop payments on the payday loan and sent the payday loan company a Money order with certified funds for whatever was owed. And the ones that kill me are the ones I call at work and tell me that can't do one dime on their next payday you cant make a 40.00 paymnt and you make 2400 a month? We get all that info on you scum bottom feeding debtors. Yes I made 12.00/hr + comm but guess what? I pay my bills and I have a nice home a nice car I keep a job in collections so I'm never like yall and say all I have is unemployment. I would never make my children suffer because I'm too lazy to get a job, and some of you make more than me and won't pay back a payday loan? You guys are the frauds because you seen a quick way to get money and you took it. You guys read the contract and knew what they were gonna take out of your checks. Why don't yall get it together and how are you guys paying your internet bills to blog and you can't make a 50.00 paymnt a month. Get it together and stop living over your means. Another example is when I call a debtor and they have the same home phone and even a cell phone since they took out the loan. Isnt that nice you can keep 2 phones connnected for over a year the debt is deliquent and not one paymnt was recieved. that is a classic. Or how about the guy I called on a 120.00 payday loan debt and he couldnt do anything for 3 months but he was at the drive thru talking to me the whole time at McDonalds buying 3rd pounder meals and happy meals for like 3 kids. Doesnt sound like most people care about paying their bills to me. And if my company or the company that retained our agency to collect can make a decision to do a civil judgement against you debtors, nothing illegal at all. So wonder why the AG of NY isnt doing anything than there you go folks. To much stuff being said that isnt directly saying we will sue you or else. And for all the time you debtors spend blogging on this site is time you could be putting toward getting a job or a second job to pay back your petty bills. If you got the money and ran and your not gonna answer your phone or just hang up so be it Whoorah for you. But the ones who now are just trying so hard to sue collection agencies are the real scammers looking for another quick pay out to try to set up a collector with the FDCPA sh*t . So what and if any one wants to google this onehere....... Recording are not permissable in NYS court where this collection agency is located so good luck with getting your lawsuit. LOSERS LMAO @debtors and a couple of you were called by me LMAO so what.

- pistoffLet me just say I was at work got a call from 0000 caller ID #. The person was an indian lady that had me speak to her supervisor in reference to some federal and criminal charges for money owed. I then called the company I owed the money to to find out that they sold my account to a company named DNP #8008839067 that in turn sent me to Jacbson and associates #8772520617. I spoke with a Mrs. Castillo who had informed me that the first company with the indian people are boggus and that they call there company looking for people whos account they handle. Needless to say Jacobson and associates did me a favor because of their advice I closed my accounts because both companys has my information. Now when I call to speak to these Mrs. Castillo lady I get some guy that won't let me speak to her. So I did more investigating and found out that they aren't with the bbc so I googled and found out I was about to give these fools my new account information. Thank you guys for posting this information about this company, because i work for law enforcement and I was scared I would be going to where I work in handcuffs. WTFE!

- MicheleRecieved very similar calls about a payday loan i missed payment on last year! they messed my account up so bad by trying to take all different kinds of amounts before they were due. i closed the account and now i am getting calls from this Mr. Morino who claims I am now being charged with check fraud over state lines. He claims he is filing charges with my county and further action will happen! ha! Little did he know I had tried to call the loan company months ago and make final payment but they had no interest in my money because I needed to call the collection agency which is Mr. Moreno apparently! well i had done my homework before he finally called just last week. he claimed all that and said this was check fraud and they were filing a complaint with the county. well I asked if he knew the procedure because they first will need to have an actual check in hand to file with the chexsystems first for it to be considered a hot check and then it needs to turn into a warrant which will take time and then he can call me back and threaten!! They are collectors that work on commission only. he even tried to tell me that I could go to jail! I told him to please come take me then because i have lost my job and was fixing to lose my house so i wouldn't have anywhere to stay anyway! LMAO
in all seriousness though they are full of crap and I should file a complaint with the FTC on this because he as a COLLECTOR is way out of line but i found it commical because I know the laws and guidelines already on if you get a payday loan and can't pay it back! you can't go to jail for it! it is a debt! some people do take advantage of those loans but i made a couple payments and fell short and then saw the way they were trying to take money from my account unannouced.
when you get a payday loan and give bank info for them to get money back that cannot be considered check fraud because obviously we all know that when you do that you and them know you don't have that money in the account at that time. Hence the reason for the loan!- Caller: Jacobson & Associates

- Brooke replies to CesarDo not do it. They are a joke, I have been getting calls from this company and they discuise themselves as Federal Agents. I got a call from Agent Nash who apparently has an acct that I applied for from National Cash Solutions. They are threatning me with Legal Action also and I dont know why. They say I applied for this loan which I did not nor would I ever have.
I have contacted the police here in my city and have filed a case with my attorney. Do not answer there calls or give them any information but save all there voicemail messages and if u do answer make sure u are ready to record the call.
This company and these people are based out of New York and are nothing but trouble. Im in the same boat as you Michelle. My advise is to get an attorney and file a police report and also make the complaint to the FTC like you said. - Brooke replies to Ms. RansomMs. Ransom:
This company is horrible. They continue to call me also and are saying they are federal agents demanding that they are going to take me to court and put me in jail for an account that I never opened. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and my suggestion to you is to also do so, contact your attorney, and also file a police report with your local police.
If you are going to speak to that company make sure you are recording the conversation and advise them that you are recording the conversation. Also save all the voice mail messages you recieve because they will be viable in a court of law.
This company has got to stop. I used to be a collections rep and I left the business because I dont agree what they do to people and how they threaten.
I have a letter you can also send them if you are interested. Its a Cease and Desist Letter. Contact me at brooke.miller@visionnet.us and I will gladly send it to you.
Hope this helps

I told him that I know my rights and he has to send written proof of what he aledges and he just went off. Screaming at me. He told me that he sent correspodence and I asked him what, he said a letter. I told him that a letter was not sufficient and he needed to send documented proof. He then hung up on me.

- SusanThis number called me, and my daughter, and left a message basically stating: This is Agent Nash and this call is about a warrant and this call is "being recorded for (my county)'s DA office". He then asked that I or my "criminal attorney" return the call. And the same message was left on my daughter's phone (but the message was for me). What do I do? Who do I call and complain? I wonder is the "real xxxx County DA's" office is aware of this, because my town and county aren't that big. I have lost my job and it very well could be a bill collector, but I can't do anything right now, even though I would want to.
