I just signed up with careerbuilder.com also, then got this phone call a week later also!

received call 12/16/2014 at 8:33PM, Did not answer.  No message was left.  Blocked call.

I get a call every day. Today they have called 4 times. They do not leave a message. This needs to stop!!!!!!

I have gotten at least 6 calls from this number in the past 5 days.  They called at 5:30pm then today at 10:30am.  Twice I answered, but there was only silence on the other end, so I hung up.  The other times I let the answering machine pick up, and they hung up immediately.  Today I reported them to the "Do Not Call Registry."  

I have no idea who they are or why they call me. I want it to stop.

I keep getting calls from 734-542-7758, 734-542-7600, and 1-800-420-9366. It only reads as "Market Strategies International" on my Caller ID, from 17430 College Parkway, Livonia, MI 48152.  They never leave a voice mail and, these morons just keep calling back over and over again repeatedly. And if I try calling them back, they never ever answer my call, and let the phone ring off it hook instead. The carrier is either Ameritech or AT&T.  For the heck of it, I looked up there website http://www.MarketStrategies.com.  On the Market Strategies website it states:  SCAM ALERT:  An organization with NO CONNECTION to Marker Strategies has been placing FRAUDULENT CALLS to consumers claiming to be from Market Strategies!  As I suspected, this whole thing is a SCAM!  Consumer BEWARE!

Got a call yesterday from this number identifying themselves as Marketing Strategies and it also shows that name on my caller ID.  Asked if I would answer a few questions about health care.  I agreed.  Then she asked if she had contacted me on my home phone or cell phone.  When I answered "home" she said she had no further questions for me and hung up!  I immediately called back and it rang a long time- seemed to be forwarded to another number-and then an automated voice said this number was not open for business at this time.

These people are trying there best to  annoy  me i changed my number 3 times in the  past,and they stil. Find my phone. The change of numbers at this time totals approximately $66.00 dollars :(

All I can say is thank heavens for Caller ID.  Whenever I get a call from a number or a name I do not recognize, I let it go to voice mail.  If it's important enough they'll leave a message.  So far, no messages from these types of calls!  But they keep calling anyway and I just keep ignoring them.  I'm on the Do Not Call list, have an unlisted and non-published phone number (which I pay extra for, by the way) and don't even know who or what careerbuilder.com is, nor do I care. So, I don't know how these types of callers get my number.  My message to people who either answer these calls or are annoyed by them is just to get Caller ID and ignore them.  And my message to those who have to work in this business of phone solicitation is that I'm very sorry you can't get a more meaningful, positive line of work that would be more satisfactory.  As soon as you're doing better, get out of it and find a job you like.  There are a lot of very nice people out there, employers and customers alike. It is unfortunate you are disabled. That still goes not give you the right to call people who do NOT want it. I have received 3 calls from them TODAY. Fortunately, I have call blocking on my line so that takes care of that.

Missed call, no VM, don't recognize number

They ask some interesting questions in between the questions they really want to know. They are getting better at that they almost had me.

I's too bad that we do not have computers with MODEMS any more.  There were programs that were called demon dealers.  I new of a guy that set one up and it would call an evangelical church over and over.  When someone would answer the computer would hang up and dial again.  It ended up costing the church over 1,000.000 per year until the church was able to put a stop to it.

This was a Sunday call, and a recording of some sort, for which I just hung up.

We get many such unwanted calls, and sometime back, I searched for online organizations providing reverse telephone look-up.  At first, reverse look-up was successful in some cases.  However, now I'm beginning to wonder if the reverse telephone outfits have something to do with the proliferation of spam calls, given there is no way to get results without a fee.  And, there is no way to fully validate the results.

I have had some success in using the call block facility of my phone provider, which allows a nominal number to be blocked. However, with caller-id spoofing, there are too many ways the scammers have to continue to be a pain in the ass.

The only sure-fire way to have any success in our effort is to never respond to any solicitation nor any survey, which we now practice.

My answer to quinterling is this.  How about you post your telephone number here and let us call it as often as we like.  I am sorry you are disabled, but that doesn't give you a right to disrupt my day.  I sometimes get 5 or 6 unwanted calls a day.  99% of them are scams and/or come back to non existing telephone numbers.  The ones that come back to existing charities, donate less than 10% to charity with the rest going to overhead.  Most of the surveys are from people collecting information so they can call you back to sell something.  As for the political calls, I have never heard of anyone changing there vote based on a phone call telling them how great one person is or what a louse the other guy is.  These calls have gotten so bad that i keep my ringer of most of the time, causing me at times to miss call that I wanted.  I have reached the point where I am so mad that I do not donate to charities at all.  I answer surveys with lies, and I do not vote for anyone that calls asking for my vote.  If you agree or disagree with this, post your opinion.  Let people and Congress know how you feel about these calls.

I'm not interested in surveys and stop calling and wasting my time you have to take no for an answer I'm tired & sick of you plus your a bunch of a--h----also get a real job you m-----f------what part of the word no don't you understand you must accept no under anything I'm not going to answer any more of your calls now knock it off

Thank you for telling us who that number belongs to. They must have gotten my number from my daughter's job searches as well.
