Listed as Michigan.  Got a call from this number a few times after 9 the past few days never answer out of state numbers before checking voicemail.  After reading your comments I add it to my straight to voicemail list so it doesn't ring.  Annoyed these numbers keep finding mine.

Got a new cell phone and got calls from this # before I even used it! And they keep calling. I'm on the do not call list. How do I stop this? Getting calls from numerous others also. I never answer them, but want to stop this nonsense.

Please let me know what time you eat dinner, and I will call with a survey about [***] people who take surveys.
I tell these [***], I am not interested in taking their survey, and they continue to nag me.....get a job, that doesn't require you to bug the [***] out of people, if you have thin skin. Again, please give me your number, and I will call you at home while you are eating dinner with your family.....that's OK right????  According to you anyway....how's that for free speech!!!!

Posy your home phone number for us to call you. Perhaps you could start a new movement where people who want to be bothered by your calls could just sent you their phone number and you would call them.  Actually, I think you are the thin skinned scum that is full of it.  Real companies do not called as UNKNOWN....  That's how we know it is from a scum bucket like you.

I love looking up these numbers people get so upset they don't pay attention to the written word.  Example: Bob from MD responds to a post from 2008 than John Boy, who obviously did not read Bob from MD's post enough to find the dripping sarcasm towards the post from 2008, responds calling him a scum bucket.  LOL.  It is a phone call, even survey takers must comply with a do not call request.  Simply ask them to put you on the do not call list at least it is not the calls from India stating they are from Microsoft now they don't stop calling.  But again if there were no more post like this I would get the laugh I just did so keep on venting.

Did you actually read the post you replied to or did you also mean to respond to a post from 2008?

Do you honestly think either of these people are sitting watching this site for replies.Six weeks is a long time in anticipation. You ,on the other hand, would possibly benefit from a television or a hobby rather than sit there picking up on others errors.

    Enough Already
724-542-7758 has been calling after 8 PM and doesn't leave a message.  Being that I'm on the NO CALL list, did some more research only to discover an old resume was still viewable on CareerBuilders.com  I promptly deleted my profile in an effort to stop the survey callers.  Let's see if it works.

    Sunday Called
Now it's heading into Feb 2016 (1/31) and I see a plethora of complaints going back to 2007.  I'd like to clarify some of the comments, and/or update. Yes, they can call, like many industries and survey takers. They are exempt (as they are for the benefit of marketing industry, and clearly the FTC takes their side almost always over consumer privacy rights).  From the FTC/Do-Not-Call website, as of 2016:

Q: If I register my number, will ALL unwanted calls stop?
A: No, the Do Not Call Registry prohibits sales calls. You still may receive political calls, charitable calls, debt collection calls, informational calls, and telephone survey calls.

In addition, companies may still call if you’ve recently done business with the company, or if you’ve given the company written permission to call you. However, if you ask a company not to call you again, it must honor your request. Record the date of your request.

    --

So it's up to you whether you have faith that notifying them will stop further calls. Legally, they'd be obliged, but we all know how shady companies will use your opt-out as a sign of a live number, and might even sell it if they no longer call it - or call from an affiliated number.

There is currently a petition (signed by 1000s already) sponsored by Consumers Union to support the HangUp Act which un-does the recently passed (buried in budget act just passed by our illustrious "representatives" in Congress) which will revoke the added rights of marketers to violate privacy and wishes of computers. There is a 2nd petition to demand of the Tel Co's that they adopt use of *already-existing* technology to offer (free) robo-calling blocking to all customers. They've been sitting on their hands thus far, and they need to hear a strong voice - or we'll all have to wait for carriers to offer blocking and see the other companies lose customers to the one(s) who offer privacy.

Reporting them will not produce any results with this number, and you may or not like the result of contacting them for their own list. Consumers need to be heard, and en masse protest the intrusions of privacy to both cellular and landline phones by "exempt" marketers and more.

Please visit and sign the petitions:

    http://cu.convio.net/site/PageServer?pagename=cu_TakeActionCenter  (both petitions)

If this page won't open, here's the page to sign the stop-robocalls petition:

I once heard that hitting the ### button does something to mess up the computer on those calls, so now I just do that.  One during the day, more around dinner time.  I didn't sign on to career builder.

The govt is the culprit behind most of this crap. They dole out money to any company as corporate welfare. Otherwise how could anybody make a profit like this.

    Marketer Marvels
This is Market Strategies, which periodically blitzes me (say, around election times mostly). Pollsters and politicians (who are the most dangerous of all, some might think) are exempt from Do-Not-Call, leaving only overseas phone spoofers left to ignore Do-Not-Call. Many believe this company's opt-out option on their site is a ploy to verify your authentic phone number, and a way to get even more info (like email) in return for "opting out". Some say they'll stop calling themselves (to their credit, at least they identify themselves), but then will sell your confirmed phone # and email address to some other affiliate or the highest bidder. All legal of course. Consumer Unions has 1/2 million signatures so far on a petition to demand the tel co's protect their paid users better, blocking robo-callers, etc. Now, our lives are there to be spammed, marketed to, and intruded upon. Sad to say. Fits perfectly into our anything-goes mentality being seen so dramatically recently. Demand from Congress, FTC, and phone providers, the right to privacy. (Doesn't everyone respect the Constitution? crickets....)
