I just got call on cell for me to call before they file suit on me, I looked it up and it is a scam I don't owe anyone. Do not call. These people who do this are pure wrong, I hope they get shut down soon.

I too received a phone call just minutes ago from a "Sara Reed", stating that she was an "Investigator" and a legal matter and restraining order were pending on me if I and/or my attorney did not respond in the next 24-48 hours.  She gave me an "Affidavit" number and the (757) 301-4745 number to call back.  
One, I've been in Human Resources for almost 20 years and know quite a bit about legal matters.  If I or any of you were pending any legal actions such as a court date or restraining order, we would be getting served at our residences or notified in person by the police.  These people are 3rd party collection scammers, looking to get your personal information AND have the ability to make a VERY old debt (10+) look brand new on your credit report.  I am reportng this to numerous agencies to include all 3 credit bureaus.  
A "restraining order"?!  Seriously?!  For debt?!  No, more like to keep us from coming through the phone line...

call from global legal name of shari parker. gave me a case # with 2 letters and 6 digits saying someone filed a legal complaint against my husband. left a call back number of 7573014745. i asked her if she was a telemarketer and she said no i am with global legal and someone has filed a legal complaint against your husband. my husband being clean as a whistle with excellent credit and no outside loans...i suspected it was a scam so i searched for global legal no listing, but found out the area code is in virginia. called all the viriginia court houses with my case number, which was not a valid number for a court case. also was told by the court secretary that they had never heard of global legal. she said to find out what court the case is supposedly filed in, and then call that court house with the case number to see if it is legitimate....
if it does not check out and they call again, ask them to stop calling or you will file harassment charges against them.

I received a call from 757-301-4745 stating that I had 48 hrs to call them back and said something about a restraining order. They gave me an affidavit number too. This is the second call that I have received from a "private investigator" I am pretty sure this is a scam.

My brother got this call and called me with the number and the accout information that was given to him. When I called I was upset cause I knew I had no issues with anyone for a restraining order to be put on me. I was told this was for a payday loan. This is crazy!!! I got this call last year and gave them money because I thought this was a true debt they got over $400 out of me last time. I went to the internet this time to get more information on the company and saw these stories. TRUE SCAM!!!

Received the same call today, they left a message with a case number and told me I had 48 hours to get back with them. She spoke really fast and didn't say the message was directed to my name, since I'm receiving a lot of phones calls that are all for the previous owner of my phone, I don't pick up calls from unknown phone number. She left the phone nr 757 301 4745 as well. After reading all the above messages, I will not worry about this anymore. Thanks.

A Stephanie Green called and told me that I had a complaint filed against me and that I'd better call the Global Legal Group at (757) 301-4745.  When I did, I spoke with someone who identified himself as "David Roberts" and told me that I owe $1,254.00 to HSBC Capital One credit card.  I know this is fraud immediately because I never banked with HSBC and never had a Capital One card.  He proceeded to tell me that the account was open in 2003 and charged up to 2009.  When I asked him where the court action was filed and the case number, he told me that the file was to be filed that night "literally."  Unfortunately, he scammed the wrong person as I am a licensed attorney in the state.  I told him that he was violating the FCC and FTC regulations and it was a crime to fraudulently extort money.  When I pressed him harder, he said he would send me the paperwork to substantiate the claim but of course he never would.  I then telephoned the Norfolk VA police department and spoke with a police regarding this particular outfit and they were aware of it.  The police informed me that Global Legal Group was not located anywhere there in the city and the 150 street address was nothing but a vacant Wells Fargo Bank.  I also reported to the FCC and FTC concerning this scam.  So be careful, if someone calls about a lawsuit or a threat of some violations, don't fall for it because no one will call after filing a valid lawsuit.  Since they knew my identify, address and part of my SSN, I also requested a fraud alert with the credit agencies to be sure they do not sell, trade or use the information illegally.  BTW, when I called back and spoke with David Roberts, he told me not to call again otherwise he would file a restraining order.  I told him I welcome that because then I will know who is behind this so I will take legal action myself.

How did you file the lawsuit and where, I was also scamed by the same people, same tel. and same name.the problem is that I gave out my debit card info to make payments and when I tried to contact them to negotiate again, all I got was music, for 2 weeks.  So i got suspecious and I found this sites.  My bank acct is closed, but I do want to sue.

I got a call listed as "private number".  Voicemail stated I am in a great deal of trouble with a restraining order pending and I need to have my attorney call within 24 hours.  Left a return number to the Cayman Islands which is out of service.  I waited until they called again, an hour later.  It was "Amy Williams".  I simply asked what kind of trouble I was in and as she tried to threaten me with legal action, I started breathing heavily and asked what they would do to me?  Will they cane me?  Chain me up?  Punish me?  Then I made moaning sounds.  "Amy Williams" made a noise of disgust and promptly hung up.  Doubt they will be calling again :)

a recorded phone call came to my home stating there was a judgement against me also involving a restraining order. when I tried to return the phone call a recording prompted me to press 1 then music started to play. no one ever came to the phone. I hung up and called again the same thing happened again then it asked you to leave a message. I never talked to a human voice. I only received this call once but can not find out who this company is or where the call came from. who are these people and what do they want? do I need to contact my lawyer?

These people keep calling me and saying I have a legal action against me.. then I try to return the call and get a message that they can't be reached.. total scam!

Scam. An investigator Blake called stating there was a complaint against me with a case number. That I was the respondent in a court action. I must appear. I needed to forward this to my attorney. There is a restraining order against me. I have 24-48 hours to oppose it. Hopefully no one falls for this cause when someone gets a restraining order they don't call you. They just serve you.

There was a msg on my voicemail saying this 5199005023. You are being sued. You must call or have or ur attorney call. They never said who they r calling for. I am not sure consider this as scam
