Well think of it another way --- if we didn't waste your time by filling out unwanted entry forms you might not have a job.

If you have a neighbor or somebody you don't like ---  fill out those entry cards you find at all these different shows  --- use that persons information and they will be tied up with all these nuisance calls. LOL

I recently was in desperate need for some extra cash and started working at the call center in Yorktown. I figured out what was really going on and decided to quit, money is good but my morals are much more important. If you don't want them to call anymore, answer and say "Put me on the Do Not call list" and they have to shred your info up in a paper shredder :) If they call again after that, they can get up to 1000 dollars in fines. Also, everything they said is literally on a SCRIPT.. If you ask "what's the catch" they will say "you're the catch, no one comes to Williamsburg in this economy for the timeshares, they're coming for the 5 star resort condo stay!" They will try as hard as they can and if they don't they can get fired.

Called me today as well, claimed I won a 150 gift card (not gas card) and was going to give me a 3 day vacation in Williamsburg, VA.

Came here to see these responses and will be telling them to go away. I know what a timeshare thing is, as we used to do them when I was just a child for free Disney World weekends (and honestly, that's a lot of free $$$ for a 90 minute presentation).

Don't really care much if they're going to charge me 75, give me a gas card I don't need, and let me stay in a "5 star condo."

    A condo, not a hotel, a condo.

This recently happened to me. The lady on the other line that called me told me that I won a drawing from state fair and I will get a $250 gift card and a 3 night stay in Williamsburg and she had my address and everything. Which seems believe able at first until she told me I needed a plus one on the trip and kept trying to get my room call 3 way to get another person on to activate this trip. It sounded way good to be true and I looked up this number and it's definitely a scam so beware!

If you stayed at a Disney resort, you were put on this list. This is a timeshare telemarker calling to offer you a vacation package to one of their locations across the US. It's not a scam, but it is SPAM and should be reported if you receive a call from them. Your information was sold to this third party.

This women named "Kiera" called our household after saying we had won a vacation to Williamsburg VA, and up to 200 dollars in gift cards. I had entered my parents in a Subway contest, which you would win a vacation. Kiera called us last night at 6:30 and then again at 7:30, leaving a message the first time to pick up or our prize would be expired. My parents picked up at 7:30, demanding she spoke to my mom and dad at the same time, even asked them their annual income. And all in exchange for this vacation and 200 dollars in gift cards that we must go to some 90 minute seminar. Luckily, my parents declined the offer, and she hasn't called us since. When she called the name registered was "Resveration". But what worries us, on the card I filled out, I gave out our address. Be aware.

Two of my family members and I got individual calls saying we all won a visa gift card and needed to be in contact with "Ronald" by the end of the night. He said he got our info from a bridal expo last month. After reading all of these comments, it's probably a scam and I would not recommend speaking to them about it or giving out any info.

This is a legitimate offer if you don't mind a timeshare presentation. I did the whole thing, the $75 deposit is refunded to you in the form of a visa prepaid gift card. The deposit is to ensure you actually attend the timeshare presentation. I also did get a $100 gift card to Dairy Queen (where I filled out the slip) and of course 2 free nights in Williamsburg at a pretty nice condo. The timeshare presentation is kind of annoying and you do have to be persistent in telling them NO you don't want it.

I received the call as well and was told I was "selected" (NOT WON) to receive a $250 via gift card but they needed to get my husband on the phone to discuss all of our prizes before we could receive them.  I said I was not sure what my husband had to do with a drawing that I entered.  She stated that it was a courtesy to my family - huh???  I said that I did not wish to have my husband on the phone call but they can take my information and send me the gift card I was "selected" to receive.  She then said - you just want your gift card and none of the other prizes because you do not want to get your husband on the phone - have a nice day! ...and hung up on me.  Wow - that was interesting!!  I might have even considered the time share presentation if they were honest with me and not incredibly unprofessional and rude!

Caller identifed herself as Alana but didn't say what company she was with (red flag #1).  Said I filled out an entry form at the Chesapeake Jubilee (red flag #2 as I haven't been to that event in at least 15 years).  She needs to speak with me personally before I can have my $250 gift card (red flag #3 - if I filled out a form, I'm sure it would have included my address).  If the card is mine ... mail it to me!  Blocking the number.

Someone called me today from this number saying that I registered for a trip and they gave me the information to where I was they told me my age bracket they told me what type of cards I use they asked me if I have been on two trips and paid out of pocket and then they offered me a $250 Visa gift card with a 3-day trip to Williamsburg Virginia when I told them I would not pay the $75 deposit she told me to have a nice day and she understood.  for the trip they require you to take 90 minutes out of your day so it is definitely a timeshare scam
