a recording says "like thank you" on my voicemail.

I've been receiving phone calls repeatedly from this number. I have no idea who Sallie Mae is and I owe no money. I just moved in to my apartment and maybe the previous tenants owed money? or this number was registered to someone who did? I receive dozens of telemarketers phone calls daily asking for various different people who I have no idea who they are, to the point that I don't even check the phone anymore. Whoever is calling, Sallie Mae or not,  should stop calling any phone number they get their hands on!

Get them all the time, but I'm clear with Sallie Mae because I deferred with a separate company!!
They call and when I pick up its an automated system saying "please wait while I transfer you for the next available representative..." I didn't call them, they called me! I'm not waiting to be transfered!

Sallie Mae calls my phone starting at 8:30am until 9:00pm.  13--20 times a day. When I answer, it's a recording.

I just got a call.  I never answer calls I dont know about.  Anyways, I called back and the number doesnt ring or anything. Not sure what this is about and really dont care.  My theory is that if you leave message, it cant be that important.

The caller leaves no message on my machine. When I dialed the number, the first words were "thank you for calling. This call may be monitored for customer service". I let it go at that. I hate any type of solicitation, and I have an unlisted, unpublished number.

my parents get calls from this # 2-3 times a day. i have a student loan through Sallie Mae but i don't believe that this is one of their numbers. when SM does call it's a different number and they always address themselves. the mentioned # always calls and either hangs up, or doesn't speak when anwsered.

This was Sallie Mae. I called the number back several times. The first few it would ring twice and go to a busy signal. After several calls I finally got through and asked them why they were calling my home. They were looking for someone with the same name but different middle initial. They told me they were sorry for calling and would take me off the list. They were looking for some other guy with the same name in the same town. I have gotten collection calls for him in the past. Grrrrrrr! We will see if it worked.

They called yesterday asking for a "Christina". Well, my name is Christopher, not Christina, so I told them no Christina lived here.

Today they called again, asking for Christina again. I told them that they called yesterday asking for the same person and yesterday I told them there is no Christina here.

Ask to talk to my daughter. Gave them her cell number to them 3 times. I ask to talk to his supervisor. He ask who was he talking to I said her mother. He was very rude and said her mother is not in the system. I ask to talk to his supervisor again and he said not until I know who I am talking to. I hung up.

Sallie Mae also has called I also gave them her cell number. I would like them to stop calling me and start calling her on her phone not my home number.
She know longer lives with us.

It is a collection company for Sallie Mae. They are relentless!

Calls everyday and when I answer recorded message says please hold and disconnects. When I call the nember back it is busy

calls me no one there, call back no answer, getting upset

they call here all hours its sally mae they are a rip off don't ever use this company for loans they harrass every body

Here is a listing of all the calls I have been receiving daily insisting for me to give them my person information before they talk with me.  I have a loan from Sallie Mae which is late by one month.  I have set up a scheduled payment through Sallie Mae's website but that does not stop these calls, even if I tell them a payment has been scheduled.  I am getting ready to change my phone number and call the FTC or lawyer.  Here are all the phone numbers:
