Got a call 3:11 pm from this number. I did not pick it up and they did not leave a message

They call most every day.  Say our son's loans are paid up except for one.  If we would give them our information they will debit a $33 to pay up his loan.  I refuse to give the information over the phone and they get angry

They've been calling me 2 or 3 times a day for the past week. Today I didn't have my phone locked and it picked up without my knowing, and it was on for 3 minutes...no one ever said anything, they just stayed on the line. Bizarre. I have nothing to do with Sallie Mae, it must be the person who had my number before me (I signed up with AT&T over a month ago).

I'm only a reference on the loan application and these people have been calling 5 times a day, for the past 4 days... WTF!  Lucky for me and them, I don't answer my phone when it's a number I don't know... I think now that I know who it is, I will pick up and act like I don't speak english...maybe they'll call back again, and put someone who speaks spanish on the phone...then I will act like I speak chinese...LoL.  I'm really glad this thread/blog is out here tho..;)  -- I typed in the phone number in google, and thought, what the hell - someone else may be getting the same calls *and what do you know... lol*

Same story as everyone else - this is a collection company called MCC calling for Sallie Mae (though they identify themselves as Sallie Mae - they are not calling from Sallie Mae numbers, which usually come up as "800 service").  Frustrating beyond belief, as I am a former employer of the person they are looking for.  I have faxed, called and blown up at these folks asking to have my business number taken off her record.  All to no avail apparently.  They don't get it - or won't.

Whenever I'm late even by one month (unemployed, so it happens), the calls start immediately. This is the first time I've noted this number, usually I get 887 numbers that they call from, even a 221 area code once.

Definitely Sallie Mae. They call me 3x a day, and on weekends. This sort of harassment for one late payment is absurd. My voicemails pile up (which I listen to later) and I'm mostly ignoring the calls.

Called me today at: 11am, 3:30pm, 6:30pm, and 6:40pm. 4 calls today!

When my husband graduates next month, he's going to end up having them harassing him as well. So, we're both going to be ignoring our calls.

This is salllie mae and they call 3 to 4 times a day. Even of the issue is resolved. They are hard to deal with.

They call all the time and they are asking for "Tamika".  There is no "Tamika" at this household. Sometimes they simply hang up when we say "hello".  Very strange!!!  Wish they would lose this number - it's annoying!!!

I have told them three times to stop calling me, and yet they keep calling. This is harassment.

Not sure if it is sallie may or not but if it is some sort of collections, federal law prohibits them from calling more than 3 times a week.  Those three calls must not be made on the same day or on consecutive days. If they are calling repeatedly and they are Sallie May you can report them to the Better Business Council for harrassment.

Well, I have been called by this #... it is supposedly Sallie Mae. I had a good conversation with the guy, and explained that I would call Sallie Mae myself, as this number is kinda ???? He understood and I called and made a payment bc I forgot to pay last month.

PLEASE NOTE... Giving Automatic Access to a company that you owe money to is a TERRIBLE idea! Just some advice for you all!

Keeps calling for Eric, he had this phone when he worked at Verizon, owes this company money and I can't get them to stop.

Hi they have been calling me everyday 3 times a day since Nov. I do have loans with sallie mae but I dont owe them anything because I am still a cllege student. You dont have to pay ur loans back until u r no longer enrolled!!

they call daily. say they're sallie mae. they refuse to verify they're sallie mae so we refuse to verify their questions. they hang up.

Calls once or twice a week.  I never pick up, no voice mail is ever left.  I do have loans through Sallie Mae but I don't know why they would be calling, I'm current and have been for some time.  Wait, oh yeah - THEY'RE THE SPAWN OF SATAN.  Forgot who I was writing about for a moment, I suppose.  I regret few things more than I regret my involvement with this company, but that has little to do with these phone calls.

who are these ffffffffffffffffffff people...they keep calling my house all day and night...I have never ever any loans out with this company...and when you go to call them back THEY DON'T FFFFFFFFFFF ANSWER.....ONE MORE PHONE CALL AND I AM GETTING A LAWYER...PISSED OFFFFFFFFF

AES STDNT LOAN is calling and it is legit.  I just confirmed my bank statement which documents a student loan payment.  The longer you don't answer, the more charges are added to your loan.  I you the loan on time, they will reduce your loan rate, example, from 6.5% to 6.0%.

However, I saved them in my phone list so that if they get into their harassment mode, which them do, I don't answer the phone when I see their name especially if I just paid them a week ago.  This way I only answer on the date I promised a payment or soon after when I get the money.

The dingdongs from Sallie Mae have called me called me about 18 times in the last 3 days.  No voicemail any time.  Did pick up once today and no one answered when I said 'Hello?'

yeah its sallie mae. i told them i'd catch up on the $245 i'm behind in my loan payments once i sold my pesky kidney.
