These people never stop calling me! the other day i went out to do something and came back to a rude message which was them. They were saying the "F" word and saying stuff like i am going to stoke you on facebook. I had enough of this! its not the first time this happened! next time im calling some one about this! is there anyone out there with the same problem?

Calls 4 or 5 times a day everyday. Sometimes waits through to the answering machine only to hang up. Very annoying.

Stop calling me.  Plus no one on phone.  Plus recieved a lengthy message from Direct Energy about not buying other Companies water heaters.  Which is obviously got them in serious trouble if they have to place these messages to everyones phone.  Alot of people are directing themselves aways from direct energy.  One more phone call and I'll throw my water heater on the street.
There are many other reputable and good water heaters available, when they came to my house their list of neigbours who bought from them look quite impressive.  Though it could have been a pretend list, I did check it out with 4 of my neighbours who bought the new water heaters.

Direct energy is a scam. Don't get fooled into thinking you need to sign a contract with this company. They use aggressive, threatening, sales & contract tactics to force people to sign. This company should be reported to the better business bureau by anyone affected. If you are thinking about becoming a direct energy customer. Dont.  The phone calls will never stop.

We had direct energy and they ripped us off sooo bad our energy bill was almost 1000 dollars and we live in a TownHouse with only 2 floors!!!! To get out of the contract they said we had to pay 1000 bucks but then we made a deal to pay 400!! Do not get Direct Energy!! They started calling us again and we just ignore them :)

Called DE tonight to get my number taken off their call list. They claim that they can't help me, since I'm not a customer. Customer service claims that they can't take my name off their list  - I have to register at the do-not-call list. When I inform them that I have already completed the do-no-call, they claim that I have to specifically request that the DE 800 number not call me. Stupid! How can I know every possible 800 number in existence. Filling a complaint.

This number keeps calling me everyday...

I sent an email to their privacy officer and asked to be removed or I would report them.  They call several times a day.  If you have a "call block" feature on your phone I recommend you apply this to their number.  Your phone will only ring once.

This number keeps ringing and when I pick it up (reluctantly) thered is only static at the other end.  How do I get these pests off my case and quit wasting my time!?

Direct Energy .. I may rent a hot water tank from you, but this does NOT give you the right to call me every hour of the day (literally)

I would never buy another product from you, and when my contract is up, I will either switch to a new rental company or will buy my own.  You are not worth it!!!!

Just called them back.  Pressed #5 for "all other inquiries" and talked to a live person. I asked to be taken off of their call list, and she did it.  Easy peasy.

This company needs to work on dealing with their telmarker workers no one wants to have their phone ringing all the time only to have no one there - they could at least leave a message.  I have listed as many phone numbers as I could find as I am really annoyed  that they are allowed to phone non stop -maybe everyone call call these numbers and really complain as well - I just complained .

If they call me one more time, I will switch my rental hot water tank agreement to its competitor immediately.

A few of the CRS Rep can calify the information on whether or not you have water heater with DE, and to be honest not most of them know that they do pay it montly, how sad! and funny.

It should show up on either your second page of the gas bill. Before anyone flips they should be smart enough to check their bill and see what and how much they are paying, and know what business they have with DE.

About 99% percent of the customer who are called are DE customer or a previous customer.

She lied to you ... you do not have to register a specific number.  They also have a legal obligation to not call you since you are on the list and foremost because you specifically told them to call.  I would report them to the BBB and provide dates, times and details of the conversation you had;  I would also report them to the CRTC;  they will get a huge fine for violating the DNC :)

called them...pressed '5' and spoke to a live operator

she said my number wasn't on her list after looking it up. she's going to send it to the call centre to have it removed. (although she said it may take 30 days to remove)

she was surprisingly very friendly

Re DE Sales -
I had been thinking of buying my own water heater, and now this is extra motivation to buy my water heater to punish DE for harrassing me.

Call the CRTC in canada and tell them you are bing solicited by direct Energy without your concent, they will have to pay a huge fine and a possible payment back to you THE CUSTOMER for their harrasing phone calls
