    i was getting calls from them numerous times daily!  i finally blocked them today!!!  you should too!  just press *60 (but do this immediately after they call (or any call you want to block).  then you will be prompted by a voice recording to press: # 0 1 # .  it works like a charm!

    I also called the 800-266-3939 # back, pressed 1 for 'residential customer', then 5 for 'all other enquiries', and then pressed 3 for 'all other services'.  Got to speak to a real person who added me to their Do Not Call list.  She said it may be up to 30 days before this makes it's way into their systems and that I still might get some calls in the mean time.  Incidentally, I am a customer, so I cannot confirm if they would have done this for a non-customer.

    money , water heater does not give any trouble,
    if it does Home Depot sells them at a good price
    So go for it buy it out right and stop renting

    I called this number and got an automated answering machine from   Enbridge  Gas and as usual when I was transferred to an agent , I was then told by another automated machine that all agents are busy. So I hung up

    I am getting this number calling my house everyday atleast 3 times and there is no one on the other end, after 10 seconds or so it hangs up.

    This number has been calling us for several weeks several times a week.  My husband even answered the other day and told them we are not interested but today (Saturday) I see they are still calling.  They never leave a message.

    If I want service, I am intelligent enough to call for it.
    I do not ever make appointments with anyone that calls me.  It's a shady practice to call a residence and not leave a message, or not speak.

    When someone calls you 3 times a day after being told it is unwanted, it is HARASSMENT.
    And 3 or 4 posts from some [***] who claims to work for their call center will not convince me of their "legitimacy", nice try. They've been calling for what seems like forever and we purposely have NOTHING to do with DE thanks to knowing multiple other people who have been ripped off by their useless company.

    I spoke to some call center monkey a month ago and was told it would take 30 days to take me OFF their harass list. This week, literally a month almost EXACTLY after I thought I had solved the problem these losers are calling everyday, two or three times.

    I have their # blocked on my Panasonic cordless, but still get one ring and know they're calling so I called this morning after their 1st call (10.30am) and complained, was told there is "nothing they can do" (?!?) and they proceeded to called me 3 MORE TIMES THAT DAY.

    If you google DE you can read pages upon pages of complaints going back YEARS.
    I have filed numerous complaints, both with the BBB and CRTC and it still continues.

    So now when I'm bored I autodial them and blast music, or an air horn. Tit for tat.

    DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.  But you might as well have fun harassing them back because apparently their employees are about as useless as their services.

    I just got a call from the number and answered on the 3rd ring.  I said hello multiple times before I heard a partial word before the line disconnected.

    If the system works this poorly it should be reviewed.  It is a great way to actually lose an existing customer.

    Actually 'DE Sales' is correct for the most part (excluding the part where the auto dialer system only recognizes "hello"). If you do not believe that you are a direct energy customer, then I would suggest you check your Enbridge gas bill if you have one. If you do indeed have services with our company you will be billed through your Enbridge bill, or if you don't have Enbridge, you will be sent a direct bill from Direct Energy. I believe the charges will be on the second or third page of your bill. If there is no charges I would recommend calling Direct Energy yourself. They can look up your supposed account by phone number or address. If it turns out there is an error on our behalf, we will add you to the internal DNC list which DOES take a maximum of 31 days to take effect. If you do not believe this you may reference the rules for all telemarketing calls on the CRTC (Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission) website. Link is below. Hope this helps.
