This is really not a call matter but a account matter. I checked my checking account balance and it was in the hole by $109. What the heck is that I never made any purchases from anyone. Okay can anyone tell me more information about this and who is doing it. Thank You!

I had 59/90 deducted from my bank account.  Who are these people?  How can they do this?

I received a charge on my charge stmt for from 800-497-4988, a Google kit of some kind, it is invalid and Google will not remove it.

Something should be done to prevent this kind of stuff from Google.

Wow I'm surprised this happened so much to so many people. But yes, I received the SAME charge of $59.90. This driving me crazy because I needed the money that I had left on my debit card and because of these idiots who call themselves "DRI*8004974988 eAuction" I am now pretty much broke and have a negative amount balance on my current Visa.

All of your stories sound like mine. My question IS ANYBODY DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS KIND OF FRAUD? maybe OBAMA should get an ON-LINE CZAR to prosecute these low-life scumbags.

Pacific Web Works is the company that runs these Google work at home scams.
They sell the "Google Home Business" kit and "Government Grant CD's". They are also operating as or with "Google ATM" and Freshkeywordideas.com
They scam people by offering a FREE kit that will only cost you $1-2 S&H.
They cleverly hide the term details in very small font at the very bottom page of their offers. People most of the time never receive the kit, but after 7 days discover a $70 fee charged to their card. When they call, they get told the fine print said they agreed to this monthly subscription, if they did not cancel their trial before 7 days. Naturally the refuse any refunds.

All the information on the pages are fake. You most probably find that craig lives in your state, because they use clever scripting to read your location and insert it in the page.

My advice is that you call your local Attorney General's office and file a complaint.

The Attorney General of Texas just (4-24-09) charged another company "GoogleMoneyTree" for operating the same scam out of Nevada.

File complaints and bring it under the attention of the authorities. They have been pulling these illegal scams way too long. Don't let them get away with it.

I was charged three times now and my bank in Costa Rica is not doing anything.
Mastercard (1-636-722.3646) is not dealing with individual card holders, but I think we have here a buch of people and we all have the same problem.

I had the same thing 59.90 but mine was for something that i signed up for without reading the actual fine print. Most likely you all did the same thing. I got charged 3 months before i actually realized what was going on and when i found out i simply called the company and told them that i never authorized these charges. they cancelled the service and refunded my money. they were actually very nice and without complaint refunded me my money.

try looking for a small charge of like under 5 dollars before the first larger charge, most likely a few days before that first larger charge and that is what you signed up for.

this is a scam type thing but you most likely did it to yourself so dont blame them and get your money back

ive been charged with $59.90 USD (im canadian) for the past two months and i realized i was scammed by that google ad kit. i just called and the girl just cancelled my account.

guess i learned my lesson!
