I just uncovered a monthly withdrawal of $69.90 from my checking account that has began on June 2nd, and has occurred again on my current bank statement. I just called my bank to report fraud charges. The bank told me that it was from the Google adsense business program. They had initially billed $1.95, which I authorized but if you didn't call them to cancel before the trial period ends, they started billing $69.90 per month. The bank statement noted the charge as "Purchase 4828535314185 on 6/2/09 at DRI*8004974988eAuction 800-497-4988 MN"  The bank said since it's a "subscription charge" I have to call this company. UGH!!

I keep getting phone calls from 800-497-6988 but no one ever says a word, and the call just drops a few moments after I answer.  Even if I don't answer, he/she doesn't leave a message.  I can't understand why someone repeatedly calls...seems like the number of calls increases everyday.

How can I get these phone calls to stop?

This Fraudulent company has moved to Utah and Las Vegas. You need to contact your CC and have the charges remvoed then contact LV and Utah district attorney to prosecute the company. FTC, FCC, and BBB are useless.

Same here.  Fell for the scam of 1.95 CD and then the monthly 59.95 charges came.  These are con artists!

I closed my checking card down, and Citizens Bank was kind enough to credit me back after I disputed the withdrawals.

I was ripped off by them for 79.90 and 250.00. This is bull, they need to be stopped. We work hard for our money these days. And no one has the extra money for some idiot to just take.

Contact FBI and file a complaint at http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx. This is a internet crime. This is well known SCAM and President Obama (hot air on internet crime prevention) is NOT doing anything.

I was charged $69.90 on my credit card and called number and they told me they could not refund unless I went to local police station to file a claim of someone else using my card.  I would then get an IP # and needed that number to give to them to then refund the money.  My credit card company also called them and they were told the same thing.  Visa will issue a credit to my account.

These people don't really help when you call them. They work for multiple companies with phone numbers and tracking only. They cannot issue refunds nor can they cancel your account. You will have to remember who exactly you signed up for and call them. Even though this number shows up, my account cancellation actually came after I called: 1-866-620-8803. First time I called, their auto system claimed "You have reached a number that isn't activated..." BULLCRAP. Call again and again til you get through. I called like 6 times before it finally rang and I got through to someone.

Unknown number appeared to be calling me. I answered it and said hello several times. No reply. I searched the internet to see who was calling and this site came up. I hope I do not get some giant charges on my bill.

I got a call from 866-361-7971 with the same result a $79.90 charge. I didn't read any fine print but I will make sure Google is no longer my homepage. This came after my signing up for Google adsense program And I thought only a $1.95 charge for shipping.

went to bank to see who was taking the 69.90 out of my account. found out the number and called the bank back had to cancel my card until I can get it straightened out but am out the money until then. This is wrong for them to take money out of your account when you didn't purchase nothing.

I got charged $79.90 from these scam artists. I called the number was told they are closed at the present time, their web site www.profitstudiolining does not exist. Call your bank NOW! I now have to go to the bank to try to get these charges removed. There are people out there like this.

My card was charged for $79.90 with no knowledge of what it was for!  Call the 800 # a very nasty lady was of no help at all, this was for Google business I thought i was paying a $1.00. She said thought luck you cannot have your money back. What can you do? It looks like this happing to a lot people not just me. You would think Google would not want them using their  name .

Got a call from 800-497-4988.  My grandson went on the internet and signed up to do work at home for google, so he thought.  A couple days later, this 1800 497-4988 called.  They said they were calling about the internet job, and explained how the google job work.  I stated I was interested.  When they suggested that I charged $1.00 on my credit card for a 7 day trail.  A red flag went up.  And i suspected it was a scam.

well im not alone those punk mfers got me for the 79.90 too.what can u do about these cowards. the banks dont care about the 8004974988 pww and im still on hold with the ba cancel the card but thats noguarantee lets go to utah and takr care of  biz google aint doing nothing and neither is B......A.they all need some serious confratation  if yoi know what i mean. even the phone co.gets money on this crap.  lets get google to fix us all up witha dollar for some materials for all parties concerned enuf of this rambling psychosis.```
