These tools just called me.  I noticed many on here have Wells Fargo service and also have been told by WF that they are not releasing their info.  Well, I have Wells Fargo also, so I think they are just plain lying to everyone. I have voip svc, so I have just blocked the number.

I just received a call from 800-553-1077 and I did NOT answer; instead I called them back and learned they are "Insurance Services". I chose option 2 which states I am not interested in their services so they will NOT call me in the future!

    TeleCapitalism
Who says "Yes, I'll take it." to these people?  I'm 41 years old and I can honestly say that I have never met a person who has actually bought from an entity that markets their product via the telephone.  I have been in the telecom business for 15 years.  I have a M.S. in Telecom.  And I once asked the then president of one of the country’s largest cable and communications companies during a seminar point blank, "For GAWD sakes, why telemarketing?"  And his answer was short and simple, "Because it works."  People actually pick up the phone and say, "I'll take it."  If you want this to stop, you have to educate people not to buy from telemarketers.  As long as people buy over the phone, there will always be people selling over the phone; regardless of whether the call to sell ration is 100,000 to 1.  With call servers, auto-generating millions of calls per day and keeping sales staff low, it’s easy to push their product on you and cheap.  But, hey, it could be worse; you could be getting a knock on your door 10 times a day.

    Just-Say-Hello
I know that alot of times when you pick up the phone, it hangs up on you.  The trick is that the machine that is establishing the call will only put you through to a person if you say, "Hello" and hello only.  The machine matches the speech pattern from the person picking up the call and if it here's anything other than just a single hello, it will hang up.  It figures that someone answering with more to say than just hello is someone they don't want to talk to, like an answering machine, place of business, or someone that is not in a good mood, by saying, "HELLO, WHO IS THIS!" or "WHAT DO YOU WANT!"  If you can get through to them, you can at least tell them to take you off the list.  Good Luck.

This number called while I was not home.  When I called the number back, it said it was from "Insurance Services".  I chose the Press 1 option so that they would call me back and I can find out their actual name.  When I get this information, I will revisit this site and let you all know who they are and their REAL contact information, so that we can all make them go away.

    FAX back to 1-800-553-1077

You prefix your call with *67 so that your caller-ID doesn't go through on the call.  Put a couple of "," characters in the rest of the programming sequence (gives a four second delay for the *67 to take effect and for the phone to return a dial tone).  Then program the rest of the sequence "1-800-553-1077" into your fax dialing string.  Follow with a string of ",,3" characters so that your phone doesn't hang up.  The reason for the ",,3" sequence is that their automated system WANTS "1" or "2" so ",,3" keeps it cycling in an error mode....   A much longer call !!! Tell your FAX machine do try sending the "FAX" until it is successful.  If you do this around 10:00 p.m. and tell your FAX machine to abort trying when you get up for breakfast the next morning.....    Well, after all, it is an "800" number and they surely would NOT have called you unless they really urgently wanted to hear from you so you might as well put it in writing (even if they're slow to respond to FAXes --- on their VOICE line !!).  After a few thousand dollars of "800" number calls, maybe they'll put a FAX switch on their line.

    In summary:

    *67,,18005531077,,,3,,3,,3,,3,,3,,3,,3,,3

or as long a programming sequence as your machine allows.

Have fun getting through to them.   :)

Whoever this is, they call at least three times a day and never leave a message. I can see from the other responses, this is something I am not interested in. I am on the do not call list so I cannot see how they are calling.

Everyone should file a complaint with the National Do Not Call Register in hopes the feds will respond appropriately.  I have!!  Site below takes you there.  Easy, quick and simple.

Once again, another call from this toll free number. As usual, I didn't answer because I have Caller ID. Again, the answering machine picked up and they did not leave a message. I am SOooo tired of this invasion of my phone. Yes, I too am listed with the National Do Not Call list.

    Me
Like everyone else, I keep getting these calls. Normally I do not answer any calls that come from Unknown Name. Unknown Name likes to call me numerous times a day. It is illegal to do this, as I have an unlisted number and its illegal to make unsolicited business calls to such a number. It is illegal also for a business to call without identifying themselves. Some now identify themselves as SVCS, Incoming call 1, 7, etc. If I have time and happen to be playing my banjo or some bluegrass music I use the speakerphone to treat them to some loud entertainment. Sometimes they listen for a minute or two, especcially if I tell them to hold the line first. If I'm feeling particularly feisty, I'll answer and engage them in all kinds of conversation, talk to their supervisor and/or manager, asking all kinds of questions and explaining their illegal acts to them. Sometimes they put me on hold for a long time when summoning supervisory personnel.  This helps to run up their phone bill. I don't mind holding, because I do other things and prepare a REALLY ANNOYING musical treat for them. This has resulted in some of these clowns taking me off their calling lists. I guess they finally conclude they're wasting their time. Be persistent. Some of these callers are REALLY STUPID. I never call these numbers because that puts you in the category of having initiated a call to them. They can then claim they have a business relationship with them and they will sell your number to other jerks who have nothing better to do with their time. I am retired so I have plenty of time to waste their time.
