Yippee!  I just got a letter from the FCC so I can swear out a complaint against this number. Yippee!

If you call the number back it switches to an answering service for "Insurance Services". You can press 1 if you are interested, 2 if you are not and 3 to be put on their own "national insurance do not call list", which is probably bogus. By giving them your phone number, it will just show them it is an active number and the calls will probably increase instead of stop.

( Even if you are on the do not call list) Its doesn't matter. The way this company gets away with it is they probley use a phone company from someone over seas or in India, That way the US laws don't apply.
This company  buys their leads which has all your information on it.
Lets put it this way. If I have a company and lets say the name of It Is ( ABC Company ) and lets say your name is john.
If I call you and say Hi I'm with ABC company can I speak with John. They are going to hang up with me because they know its a sales call and they know they don't do business with ABC company.
But If I have your information and I know you have   ( B of A account ) I would say Hi can I speak with John regarding his B of A account. You would be more willing to stay on the phone a little longer.
After that point it depends how good the sales person is on selling you crap.

That is a perfect way to make sure my husband and I will NEVER do business with them.  Is Wells Fargo selling our numbers to jerks???

Everyone is getting a call from these guys. How do we get them to stop?

Only family members have this phone number.  I don't even give it out to friends, since I have them call me on my cell phone anyways.  

Have you guys ever seen VONAGE commercial?  Features they advertise is that you can choose your own area code, so "if you're in LA and your girlfriend is in Chicago, you can change your number to a Chicago area code, so your girlfriend can call you as a local toll" or the like and that you can take your Vonage box anywhere in the world with internet connection.

I believe you can even set your "call back number" "outgoing number" to be anything you want.  I strongly suspect VoIP device is involved in these scam calls.

Once again they called. Claiming to be calling all of Wells Fargo customers. Wells Fargo claims they know nothing about this company and have not sold or given out any information on their clients. This same bunch has called from other 800 Service numbers and claiming to be calling from other businesses, such as Fingerhut. This is what they are using to get around the Do Not Call list, claiming to be from businesses or companies you already do business with, event though they aren't. If you ask them too many questions, they hang up. Each call is a different person. I do honestly believe this is a scam and the majority of those that are calling are suckered into believing they are making honest sales calls and getting paid by the call. One of those "make money at home" jobs. Where are they getting this information? Who knows...your trash?..online? A disgruntled employee of the companies being mentioned who has sold the info?
I constantly file complaints and will continue to do so until someone does something and I suggest everyone else should too.

Caller said he was calling from Citi Mortgage, and did I not have a loan thru them?  I do.  Said he was offering new insurance package.  Called at 8 pm, and when I tried to tell him off, he hung up.  Filed complaint with do not call list, hope it works to stop these bums.
Connection was pretty bad, so may have been VoIP call.

Has called my home at least 6 times maybe more. Began at the end of January. Called twice today~ once in the morning, and once at night. I have picked up the phone 3 times, each time a woman asks for my Husband by name, will not talk to me. The first time I answered she said it was a courtesy call and then hung up. This morning she asked to speak to my husband by name, I said no and I hung up. They do not leave any message on the machine, I can see the number on my caller ID.

I get calls from this number that go beyond harassment. One week alone brought at least thirty calls at any time day or night. Nothing is every said and quite personally, I am sick and tired of these calls and all telemarketers! Never a response when I answer.

Keep getting calls asking for my wife.  They hang up when I say she is not here.

INSURANCE COMPANY OF PITTSBURGH, PA with their phone number 1-800-533-1077 needs to be contacted. The company that is being named in the calls is ridiculous and driving people away. I am going to turn them in and do something about these calls. There is a law out there that can stop them. They can find loopholes to do this but where there is a loophole in law there is another way to close it.

I am not going to allow people to harass me at home at my private number and cell phone as well that they call me on. It has gone too far and there is a way to legally stop these idiots from bothering anyone like this. It is like owning a home and having irratating neghbours that bang on your door and hide where you can see them every day. You ask them to stop and they keep doing it all day every day and bring their frewinds to help. That id harassment and there are laws in place to fight such stupidity. They keep doing it because nobody wants to fight them with the law. The money and what not usually stands in the way. Well, I have a lot of time and money and have had enough.

My approach to this nonsense is going to be within the law and to use it to stop them cold and skirt around the laws they are using for their irritation. These laws will be used to make them stop at least the harassment to my phone. And hopefully in time everyone else's. I will try and see if I can make a difference. From what I have been told my legal advisers it can be done.

even when i pick up they don't 'talk'. somehow my work number got on their call list.  When i called back I got a recordig saying 'this is insurance services,we attempted to contact you regarding a special offer'.  blah blah is right, but this is annoying.

In the past week, I've gotten at least 2 dozen calls from this unidentified number.

Some brother with Ebonics called my number this afternoon and states that he was from Wells Fargo Bank.  Then hung up when I start questioning him.

I receive calls from this number everyday, in the evening and the morning and other times throughout the day.  I am disgusted with this violation of the law and this clear dismissal of the No Call List, which I have paid money to be on.  Someone please put a stop to this invasion of privacy!
