I had a couple voice mails left from them (starting prematurely I might say, so I only get half the message).  I do have a chase account, and was overdrawn at the time.

I do have my doubts as to the legitimacy of this (based on the negative reports here), and being a phone guy I know it's /really/ easy to set a false caller ID (especially in the age of cheap VoIP trunking and VoIP hardware/systems).

If ever in doubt, call a verifiable Chase number (IE: listed at their web site or a local branch).  I would expect they can search for your phone number to see if there's a call for you.

Yes It's Chase. I was Overdrawn and they are now harassing me by calling me 2 to 3 times each day. I just don't answer. They will get their money when my deposit goes in. They nailed with with a $64 dollar over draft for a $2.25 purchase. [***]. I'm going switch banks and tell CHASE to shove it up their ARES HOLE.

    you are a paranoid nancy

You guys/gals on here are hilarious and very overly paranoid! 8005550433 is Chase bank collections. They are calling you to inform you of your overdrawn account to make arrangements..that is all. The reason that they are calling you on the weekend..is b/c they can, and want you bring your account current. They are open all week..now you may not be able to call them back over the weekend b/c they do not accept INCOMING calls during this time, but can deff call back during the week. Also paranoid Wamu people who think they don't have a account w/ Chase and you are getting these calls....you have a account w/ Chase now..since Chase bought out Wamu. So get over it people just answer the phone and work w/ the collectors. They are willing to help you in any way, to bring it current....if you don't want to talk to the collectors..just check ALL of your own accounts on your own time to verify that they are not overdrawn... and stop being some childish douche.

    not a chase customer
I've been getting numerous calls to my cell phone from this number the past few days, and I have never had any form of account with Chase Bank. And at least when credit card companies have tried to get a hold of me, they left messages. Not so here. Therefore, I am suspicious.

Same with me, calls every day several times a day. I speak to the people and tell them that the person they are looking for does not live here or has he ever. I ask them to take my number off their list but still I get calls. Today, I called the number and a "MaryAnn" answered the phone. I asked her to speak to a supervisor. She transferred me to "Brandon" the TEAM leader. oooohhh  I explained this to him and he said that they did put a stop call on my number and at midnight that will kick in. So, this is what happened to me for what it's worth. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

this # is really chase bank for all the paranoid people... why don't you pick up the phone when they call you and you will see. if they call you you don't have to release your ssi or account #. they will tell you your or or that were looking for someone else an it would be a wrong number, and then they will remove it.

the reason why they ask for your ssi or account # when YOU call THEM back is anyone can call that # they have to verify who you are. so if you don't want to do so then wait till another person calls.  if they can't get a hold of you on the phone via person then they will send voicemail calls advising you they are try ing to get in contact with you.

so to shorten this up chase bank is trying to get a hold of you for one of two reasons were looking for someone else an it's a wrong number. or your dumb enough to over draw your account and they are calling to collect on the negative balance that in your checking account.

My wife started receiving calls from 800-555-0433 as soon as she obtained a new cell phone. Most were automated, requesting a call back. Some were humans with accents sounding like East Indians. Said they were with Chase collections.. They were looking for someone named Ana. We told them that we knew no one with that name and she probably previously had the same number. Two months ago we asked them to stop calling this number, and they said they would stop. Despite this, the calls persisted. Twice, I had prolonged discussions with people with foreign accents who also said they would remove our number, to no avail. Last night we got another automated call around 7:30 PM. Today I called back the number, intent on speaking to a person who could help me. After negotiating a menu that asked for my Chase account number (I do not have any Chase accounts) and even my Social Security number (which I refused to give and kept saying "agent please," I finally got a lady named Jane (employee ID D167540) in Chase account services in Columbus, Ohio. She was very helpful to a point-- she  looked up the number and found that Chase had reason to call "Ana" at our phone number. She said she would put a note to the file and forward my concerns to Chase management. However, she had no idea as to who might be calling me and said she was not aware of any Chase collection office in India. After more discussion, she referred me to "Telephone Banking," which again offered a labyrinthine menu. I finally got a live person named Vanessa Bustamente (who spoke American English), who was very knowledgeable and ( I hope) helpful. She also said she would refer my complaint to management, and would advise the "department that handles overdraft accounts" to put a block on my number. I told her that this experience reflects poorly upon Chase, and that there should be a more direct way for the company to handle errors such as this. I will advise further only if Vanessa has not been successful.

    Dude
I called back and someone I could barely understand with an Indian accent answered the phone and wanted my personal info. Don't know if it's Chase or not but I don't trust it.
I called Chase's 1800 number from my debit card and, you guessed it, someone with an Indian accent that I could barely understand said something I couldn't understand.
     Nice work, Chase.

This is really Chase as annoying as the phone calls were they did let me know that my account was overdrawn by 15.00 dollars I just wish they would have left a more detailed message like maybe their company name. It took me a week to call them back I was thinking it was a telemarketer.
