Got a call from them this morning he said he need my name he stupid had my number for over 8 years never had bank accounts so I told him don't call me now more but in a different way !!!!!!!!! It is a scam

800 555 0433 IS Chase Bank checking and savings account COLLECTIONS.  There is no customer service because ALL calls must be kept short and fast so that the next call be taken.  It is Collections at Chase Bank call center and they are not supposed to leave messages because it is collections and if a message is left then someone else may hear that you owe money.  There is no caller ID when you call in which is why they ask for your information to look you up.  If its a wrong number then give the person your number so that they can delete it.

Its just policy for collections. The collections is located in Texas, Ohio, and India. Which is why there is a universal 800 number on the caller ID.  Also if you want your fees waived then be NICE to the operator because EVERYTHING you say goes into the notes in your account.

This number calls me several times a day, I do not answer 800 numbers. They never leave a message and no no one answers when you call them. I heard that there is a service people set up and every time someone calls them back, they collect money, not sure how it works but people say never call them back, is just putting money in their pockets. That number is blocked for me now.

Part of a fraud campaign targeting numerous financial institutions.  Note the pattern of shill postings all claiming the number is real - an obvious giveaway.

The large number of phony posts claiming the call is real come from some con artists spamming the site to try to fool people.  There is a similar pattern to other fake calls claiming to be from Chase, Citibank, Bank of America, US Bank, Wells Fargo, RBC, PayPal, etc. all with the same shill postings:

My 11 yo daughter got several of these calls.  I called back and they claimed to be Chase.  Wanted to know my SSN to resolve "an issue", not an account number mind you..  So either a very poorly trained collections specialist or a scam.  My money is on the latter.

This is NOT Chase bank - they lie over the phone and tell you they are Chase bank, but if you ask them to check the note left on your account they verify that they are a collections agency and cannot actually see Chase's information or any information regarding your account except for how long its been overdrawn and how much you owe.

Tell them you will not pay them, you will pay the bank directly. They will ask for a date so they can note it - tell them no because you already informed the bank of this information. Then say thanks - then 'have a nice day'

Then hang up on these greedy [***].  And shame on Chase for forwarding overdrawn accounts to a collection agency even though they know damn well you've been in contact with them, etc.

I work for Chase and we are well aware of this fraud. If you want to be safe call you local bank or the phone number on your credit card. DO NOT give any information to this FRAUD!

Yup. That was a Shill. 11 years ago, but you nailed it. There are a lot of shills in this thread. You gave good advice, scammers will spoof legit numbers and even names that show in someone's caller ID, it is always best to hang up and call Chase on a number you know is good - that number is on the back of your card.
