- AnthonyActually, I hate to say it, but it is chase.. I just overdrew my account.
- MichaelIt is Chase Bank. I closed my account with them when they took over WaMu but I still get calls from them. I have asked them to remove me from their call list but still get calls!
- butterscotch allenYou people who say this isn't a scam must be scammers. i JUST walked into my OLD chase branch to ask them about this number and they said it was a scam. If you get this call call them back only to get your number removed from their list, they are annoying and its bs. Regardless if its chase or not they just want your money, i closed my chase account months ago so there is no way this number is legit. They are a horrible bank and i don't owe them anything, use credit unions people. Chase is not your friend.
- Caller: Most likely chase
- DaveGuess what the number is chase and I am over drawn. I dont care, it is the principal of the deal. I was and went in to my branch to pay the over drawn balance and what they did was back date all the charges that added up to over $350.00. This is how they explained it. Well I over drew $25.00 and so the charged me $35.00 in over draft fees. Here is how they figured it out, They back charged me all the transactions for the day. I made a mistake on my math that day because of that they backed up the charges that day and charged me over drafts for all three charges that day. because one brought the one before it over the limit and then to the next one is that crap or what.
- GCompany calls with a recorded message that says to call back. When you call back, the person that answers the phone says "Chase", then demands your name, phone, birthday, social security number, bank account information, full mailing address, and so on. They tell you that you are being "difficult" if you do not give them all your personal information.
A legitimate bank would have all that information, so we would only need partial answers, like last 4 of social, birth month, zip code, and so on.
If you get a call from this number tell them to not call back, register your number, and file a complaint.

- WIt is illegal to call a cellphone with an automated dialer. This caller is doing that.
That violates the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. I'm paying or these automated calls.
There is no company name on the caller ID - just the number.
The caller claims to be Chase bank but refuses to provide proof.- Caller: Unknown
- okay....so really and truly, it is only illegal to call a person on their cell phone with an automated dialer if you are aware that it's a cell phone...however if you are a complete and total moron and list your cell # as your home or work #, guess what..................it gets treated like a home or work #.
and in addition, if you call the # back and the person on the other line answers and asks for info to see if you have an account, it's because hey, you called them and they don't magically have it up on their screen...
that being said, i got a call from this #, and didn't know who it was but i will be verifying w/ chase if this is a valid #...
and p.s.
since there are many different aspects to a huge bank like chase, telephone bankers and personal bankers may not have access to all collections phone #'s...just the main ones...and mind you there are different parts of collections and can be multiple phone #'s for each of those depts that the others don't know about...so that being said, suck it up - carrie JacksonI keep getting calls 3-4 times a day and knowone leaves a message. I DO NOT answer because I am at work. I want these calls to STOP.
- lets make a class actionThese jerks have called me over 10 times a day on weekends and holidays about a $100 overdraft- once I got 7 calls in 1 hour!! this is harassment!!! But it is chase making the calls!! I cant believe a legitimate bank would make calls with an automatic service that many times, dont they know that is illegal!!!
- sefathis number from JP MORGAN CHASE BANK checking account department.
- Caller: JP MORGAN CHASE BANK
- JohnCThis is Chase. I DO have an account with them and it is overdrawn, a fact I learned by answering them. They called my cell phone, which I only put on certain accounts, so I knew it was legitimate when they called. They will not ask for "personal information", they just want to be sure that you're debt with them is clear. I'm glad they called actually, otherwise I would have never known about the overdraft.
- Caller: CHASE
- ChingWe have all your account information prior to you even getting on the phone when we call you geniuses. How could we be a scam if we know everything already? That sounds pretty darn stupid.
- IIts not harassment. Since you guys google so much then google this: Collection companys can call you from 8Am-9Pm Eastern Dumb folks. So until you pick up we'll keep calling have a nice day.

- pudgesocalI get 2 or 3 calls a day from this number but they never leave a voicemail. I finally called the number back and a seedy sounding recording said it was Chase, followed by a series of cheesy sounding "please continue to wait" type recordings. Finally an obviously Indian-sounding guy, who identified himself as "Rob", answered and without hesitation promptly asked me for my SSN without even saying what division of "Chase" I'd reached. I told him I wasn't comfortable giving him my info so I hung up and called the legit Chase 800 number posted on their website. I gave the rep my info, he pulled up my account and assured me that there were no notations, it was still active, and to ignore those calls, as they were not from Chase. SCAM!!!
- pudgesocalThis literally just took place within the last 10 minutes, so I'm not drawing on a long-since past experience. BEWARE OF IDENTITY THIEVES....AND MONITOR YOUR ACCOUNTS CLOSELY!!!
- Texasi got a new cell number last week...since, i've been getting SO MANY calls from this number. Its annoying and Im always at work when they call. I havent even had time to set up my voicemail so i'm not sure if they've left msgs. But reading these comments, looks like its chase. I've never banked with chase in my life.
- none1-800-555-0433, I too have been getting calls from this number. If it's from Chase, my acct WAS overdrawn due to miscalculation (totall my fault) but they should be smart enough to know or from viewing my acct, I do get direct deposit from my employer every other week so if anything should be said (if it IS Chase) you'd think they'd wait at LEAST a month first before hiring someone to harrass their customers! The ppl at this number DO leave messages but half the message is gone b/c they don't wait til the 'beep' to start the message, it's most likely a recording that just starts automatically. I REALLY REALLY don't like Chase. Why oh WHY did WaMu hafta get taken over! I had NO issues w/WaMu whatsoever, they even had the once per year forgiveness if you accidentally overdraw your acct. Chase takes no 'prisoners' they just slam the fees on you. They even added a 'maintenance' fee for having an overdrawn acct on top of the usual fee. If I didn't have a c.cd w/them, I'd just close my acct & use Capital One!
- Caller: dunno.
- Calls NonstopThis number keeps calling nonstop, never leaves a message. I'm sure if it is a bank calling - they would leave a message.
