- W. A. S. replies to AriomFMS: To Whom it May Concern. Notification is hereby made for FMS Agency to desist calling me, as I have NO indebtedness to anyone. I am 87 years of age, widow, and in extremely critical health, necessitating daily medications to alleviate severe pain from undergoing 10 surgeries this last year, with multiple hospitalizations. Your calls are responsible in waking me while under sedation in any of my attempts to convalesce. Should there be any more calls disturbing these efforts
towards recovery, rest assured legal measures will be pursued. - Meru replies to Gloria Torres| 1 replyFMS is a legitimate debt collection agency and does NOT fall under the "do not call" rules. If you have a debt - make arrangements to pay it or file bankruptcy. If you are NOT the person they are looking for then let them know. Usually they have done research and your name or number is associated with the person they are trying to find. If you know any information about the debtor (their current name, phone number, cell number, home address, etc.) give that information to FMS and they will promptly remove your number from their calling list.
I know this because my husband's ex-wife and her new husband seem to be in debt to everyone and I get these types of calls from many different collection agencies - I give them all the contact info I have and the calls stop. That is until the next time they default on a credit card. - veryannoyedoneHere is the link to the "Do Not Call Registry".

This is very painless and doesnt take but a minute or two. If we all take action with the right authorities I feel we might get something done...but it takes everyone to make the effort and call and make a complaint , please.
Like many others I am sick of getting these very annoying-harrassinging calls that when you really get enough of it and answer it goes to dial tone or busy signal when you press number to talk with someone...and don't even have a chance to chew someone out....grrrrr
I just made my complaint hope everyone else does likewise...good luck on ending the madness.
very annoyed one- Caller: FMS
- veryannoyedone replies to MeruHere is what the 'National Do Not Call Registry' site clearly says...
2.You may also file a complaint if you received a call that used a recorded message instead of a live person (whether or not your number was on the Registry).
These are harrassing calls, bottom line, whether they are a 'legitimate debt collection agency' or not. They should and are being reported. I also see that most of the replies like my own circumstance on this board is we do not owe anyone any money , we are getting automated calls, and more times than not can not speak with anyone when we try to correct this misunderstanding or try and they ignore it.
Meru since you work for FMS apparantly...could'nt you guys come up with a better system? What...... people get so mad at FMS they finally pay??? Yeah Right - cfgCalled work; no name; unknown caller; left no message.
- LuciI have been receiving calls from this number for nearly a year. They always hang up, even after I answer the phone.
I am tired of the harassment. It is SUPPOSED to be against the law, however, these scum suckers are allowed to get away with it.
I have no idea what they want or WHO they want to speak with. Apparently, they just want to get a reputation of being persistent and tough. They make it impossible to get in touch with them.
It's time to call, phone or fax your congress member and representative and tell them that new laws need to be drawn up. - Mary Thorn| 1 replyThey keep calling me from the 1800 number and dont say anything, the line is just quiet and they call me over and over and over again almost daily...I tried to hit redial and got through to FMS and it won't transfer me to an agent, it cuts out and dial tone. Why do they keep calling me with no one there. It is not only annoying, i am handicapped and it is very difficult for me to get to the phone.

- Pride32We have been getting calls from this company for the last month and half. They call every single day. My parents have been getting calls from them everyday. I answered one time and there would be no answer. I am sick and tired of getting calls from this group. So since then I have blocked any number that is associated with this group. Please stop calling innocent people. They do
Have other numbers which they will call by. Be careful with them- Caller: Unknown

- Freaking AnnoyedBefore dawn, after dusk, all day long...calling for my, get this, EX-sister-in-law. Finally looked them up on the internet and contacted them directly.
Here is their contact page from their website: http://www.fms-collect.com/contact.htm
I called them directly at (888) 999-2443, was greeted by an actual person, who asked to speak to my EX-sister-in-law. I explained the situation and my frustration with the excessive calling. The operator promptly and courteously removed my number from their system. Hopefully this works.- Caller: FMS Collection Services

He repeatedly talked over me when I asked to be taken off of the call list, told me they were not selling anything and screamed over my voice trying to confirm my home address. I said not to call again and that I was not interested in talking with this company to which he laughed menacingly and said, "I bet you don't."
Geez, who are these people and what is going on?- Caller: SMS??

- Upset CitizenLet's all call them and hang up! These [***] are harassing me. Can this be legal? Well, let's all do the same by calling these numbers: -800-999-2443, extension 2252 (where they get business calls) & 1-800-580-2577, operators answering calls from unsuspecting ppl that think they owe something.
- D&D replies to CanEdAll you have to do is block their number! Answer the call, do not say anything, then hang up push * 60 and take it from there. I have done this on my home number. I have not had to do it on cell phone but I know it can be done!!! Good luck.
- IT DEPARTMENTThis company keeps calling our support number
- AnonymTwice a day, we receive a call from these people, which is "If you want to speak to a representative, press 1". They say, prior to that, that "This is FMS". I don't want to speak to them, have no outstanding bills, and want no financial services help. The y are a continuing nuisance.

- lexii got a call just a few min ago from this number. but the caller id said BLOKEADO!!!
- TerryNumber comes back to a collection agency. We don't owe anyone any money, so I am convinced it is a scam. I discovered how to block numbers last week and have blocked 10 numbers and all incoming calls that are blocked by the caller. The number of telemarketer calls has dropped off considerably. I have Cox phone service, dial *60 and the computer will advise that my call blocking is enabled. Then I enter #01# and it blocks the last caller. If the call you want to block isn't the last caller you just stay on the line and it will give instructions how to block other numbers.

- johnsWeekly calls from 800-580-7611. I never answer and got fed up and answered today. They hung up. Most aggravating.
- adgoodmanI have received 3 calls from FMS, Inc. The first one I did not document. She was very loud wanting me to confirm my address. I refused to do so and asked what the call was about and she replied a personal matter. Knowing that my credit record is clean for I check it every couple of months I asked her once again to please tell me what it was concerning. She hung up. I received a 2nd call 3/14/13 @ 9:36 a.m. and was told that I spoke to someone in their office and she needed to confirm my address. Once again I refused and she got loud and I told her not to call me at work and she shrieked "I can and I will". I told her I would report them to the State Attorney's office and she hung up. Once again 3/21/2013 @ 9:49 I received another call this time I made him verify the company's name and phone number (that way I could find out who I needed to report to the State Attorney's office) He verified FMS, Inc. at 1-800-580-7611. I researched it online and have confirmed it is the company everyone on this site is receiving calls from. My plan of action is to write a letter to the State's Attorney's office and complain. That is the only way to stop them from calling.
