I got a call, and I don't have any account with Well's Fargo.  My house is paid for, credit cards paid for and so are my vehicles....don't tell me this ISN"T a scam.

At least 3 calls to the cell phone of my 10-year-old daughter.  No voice mail set up on this phone, so no message left.  We haven't had an account of any sort with Wells Fargo for almost 10 years, and never had a mortgage through them.  I'm guessing that the number was erroneously listed on the demographics of a mortgage record of an unrelated person.  It's still annoying.

I do NOT have a loan or mortgage, and they call all the time!!!!

Repeated calls from a 800-678-7986 number stating they are Wells Fargo Collections number. I have already paid my mortgage, why would they even call me?  Very shady call and I am worried.  I called the real Wells Fargo and they have no such number in their collections dept.

I demanded they stop calling me....wfago numerous times... It works for a few days but on the second of every month starts 6-8 calls per day... I blocked the number using Verizon's new safeguard feature yet they still get thru... I don't know how.  I make my payment before the late fee kicks in midmonth.  I swear I'm going to stop paying them because of this harassment.  As if the 6 calls per day is realllly going to get someone ti pay ahead of when they plan to our are able to.

I don't have a mortgage and they keep calling my cell phone . They leave a message about
a dept that I do not have. If they are legit, they would have my home number and not ask for
my social security number. If I have an account with them they will have all that information .

A female caller identified herself as "Tiffany" and claimed to be from "Wells Fargo Home Mortgage". She refused to give any other information. She refused to give her company address. She refused to give her company phone number. She refused to give her last name. She refused to say why she was calling. She said that my number was "on an account" and that she was "using an autodialer". She refused to say why my phone number would be "on an account" and she refused to say anything about the "account". This appears to be a typical debt-collection scam; they have called my number about 500 times using various names including "IC SYSTEM", "BCR", "HSBC", "Washington Mutual", "ACR", "Bureau of Collection Recovery", "Allied Interstate", "NCC Business Services", "NCO Financial Systems", "ARM", "Accounts Receiveable Management", "Enhanced Recovery Corporation", "Chrysler Financial", "Marc Research", "MCM, Inc.", "Account Services", "Portfolio Recovery Associates", "Regional Adjustment Bureau", "GMC", "AR Management", "Capital Management Services", "Valentine & Kerbartis", "Juniper Bank", "Apple Credit", "Nelson, Watson, & Associates", "Malcolm S. Gerald", "American Dreamcard", "FMA Alliance", "GC Services Limited Partnership", "Midland Credit Management", "United Collection Bureau, Inc.", and "Chase Student Loans". I do not have any debts and have never had any bad debt. This is just a scam like the other hundreds of calls. I reported them to the Maryland Attorney General's office, the FTC, and will report them to Maryland Commissioner of Financial Regulation.

You can opt out of calls to your cell phone. Go into your info at Wellsfargo.com and change the number.

The same scammer has now called twice using the same apparently faked caller ID information claiming to be Wells Fargo Home Mortgage trying to collect a debt. (I have no business relationship with Wells Fargo and no debts.) I have file complaints with the FTC's DoNotCall list (which is totally useless) and with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (probably useless) and with the Maryland Attorney General's office (hopefully not useless). If this is not some kind of an illegal scam, and really is Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, then they are violating numerous federal and state laws by repeatedly calling someone on the DoNotCall list who has no debts.

This same scammer has called for the third workday in a row.

This same scammer has called for the fourth workday in a row. I have filed additional complaints with the appropriate federal and state regulators.

The number may be legit, but the caller may not be. CallerID is easy to spoof, so be very careful who you give information to.
Don't be afraid to ask detailed questions of the caller. If they aren't legit, they'll get tripped up pretty fast. If you don't feel good about the call, even just a niggle, look up the number and call them directly. It's your phone, your finances, your life. Take charge, be proactive. Better safe than sorry.

From the other messages, this seems to be from Wells Fargo. We have never had a WF mortgage, so I do not know why they would be calling us. Fortunately, we have a phone that will block numbers, so we've blocked this one.

I have had it be Wells Fargo and the -special Olympics - which seems pretty strange.

Receiving calls on my cell phone.  I just told them to stop calling on that line. I do not have a loan from Wells Fargo.

They keep calling MY home phone number and asking for the HOME OWNER.....
asked if there was a problem with the loan, just had to ask and mess with them but they wouldn't give any info.  
They said they'd take MY home phone number off the calling list...we shall see since they call 2-3 times a day and hang up.
...tried to give them the property management companies number to call but hey didn't want it.

They call daily and will not leave a message. What good is the do-not-call registry if this is allowed to happen ?

Never had a loan with WF and have not have any outstanding loans anywhere for years.  Mortgage has been paid off since 2005 and credit card bills get paid when they arrive.  We get calls from this number in my google voice number which I have never used and on my wife's cell.  Wife and I have different surnames.  I'm assuming this is a random dialing thing.  Surely there has to be a way to stop these people from making such nuisances of themselves.  I'm wondering what they are accomplishing with these calls.

Caller:  Please hold for an account representative.
Caller (human voice):  Hello, this is Tracy. What is your account number, please?
ME: What account number? What are you talking about?
Caller:  Well MAAA'AAAM, we can't help you without your account number.
ME:  I don't know what you're talking about!  You called me!
