They repeatedly call several times a day, then not there when answered. No longer answering their calls. Never had any Citibank accounts.

If you have talked to them in the past, talk with them again. 1st. tell them you DO NOT want them to call you any longer. 2nd. Get a contact mailing address, then write them a DO NOT call letter. Basically a letter telling them to stop calling ANY of your contact numbers, relatives or co-workers (which is illegal btw)  and then make sure to send the letter. I'd say give them a month for the calls to stop. Last, I would surf to www.donotcall.gov and get on the do not call list (if not already). If, after a month the calls continue, report them via the donotcall.gov website. The government is suppose to fine any person/company $1000/unsolicited call. Granted, $1000 is not alot to most companies, but if enough people lodge complaints, that $1000 grows to alot of money to throw away.

Even if you do owe them money and the calls are valid, you have a right to stop the calls. You still owe them, but atleast the annoying calls should stop.

This number calls me between two and five times a week. This number registers as unknown on my caller ID. I usually let it ring, no voicemail is ever left. I'm getting tired of seeing it show up on the caller ID...

There was one time that I did answer; I said "Hello?" and there was a pause. No one identified themselves as being from any sort of collection or credit agency. Someone simply said "Hello" and then the call was terminated on their end, so I hung up.

I am registered on the Do Not Call list but calls like this still seem to come through.

Citi owns sears cards. Sears had serious violations of their debtors rights years ago in Boston. Their collections practices were not just to threaten on the phone but to go to lengths of calling neighbors disclosing debt and threatening law suits and repossession of property that never happened. It was so bad a man begged a bankruptcy judge to reopen his debt to pay it off because he feared the harm the sears collector would do to him. That's when sears sold eveything to citi. That being said this is a sears number. Don't talk to them.

I called Citicards at the number on my card and they said there was no record of them calling me.  THEY told me this was fradulent and do not give any information to them.  I called the number to see what they would ask and they claimed my card was found in a parking lot and returned to the store.  They asked for the CV# on the back to confirm that I had my card in my purse....sure sign of a scam.  DO NOT RETURN THESE CALLS!!!!!

From previous posts I know this is my Sear's Citibank card calling.  Unfortunately, no one is there when I pick up the phone.  It's just dead air and after 5-6 seconds they hang up on me.  If you're goingbto call me...at least have a human who's ready to speak.
