You are able to go into your RBC branch and ask not to receive these calls. However some of these calls are going to be regular contact calls to inform you that your mortgage, investments are up for renewal and make sure that they are providing that service and advice for you to renew them. Plus often if you answer the call you are then removed from the dialling systems because you were contacted.

This is annoying. I am getting at least one call a day from this number despite my number listed on DO NOT CALL list.

Yes, the call is coming from RBC, Royal Bank of Canada. I don't understand a big bank like RBC is harrassing people daily.

I can't wait for them to call me when I am actually at home ... I will really swear at these [***].

I've been getting these calls 3x daily off and on for months. I finally called their customer service number today, asked for them to stop and she put me on their do not call list, no questions asked. When you call there, just push 0 to get put through to someone right away. I got through to someone on the first ring!

Kept getting calls from these useless wads.  Found out it was RBC so called and spoke with a customer service rep.

Told them to remove my # so she went through (so she pretended) all the steps to prevent anymore calls.

Guess what?  Another call today from that same #.

These people need to get a REAL JOB!!!

If you want to punish them for the hassle they have put you through make an online complaint here

    https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng

If enough people complain the fines will become large enough for RBC to take notice.

it's RBC alright, they're not just calling me to find out if everything is ok, they've been calling twice a day for the last two weeks....assuming I may have changed my mind about purchasing insurance through them.  I never answer and they just keep calling...but I just keep ignoring.

I'm actually considering closing my account with them because my other bank does not call this much.

People  just because you are on the DNCL you can still get calls form Telemarketers

    Taken from https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng

"Telemarketing calls from organizations with whom you have an existing business relationship are also exempt. You are considered to have an existing business relationship with a telemarketer if you:

    Purchased, leased, or rented a product or service in the last eighteen (18) months from the telemarketer;
Have a written contract with the telemarketer for a service that is still in effect or expired within the last eighteen (18) months; and/or
Asked a telemarketer about a product or service within the last six (6) months."

SO if you have ANY sort of acocunt with RBC,  you have a contract in effect for a service so they are allowed to contact you even if you are on the DNCL.

    what drugs are you on

They are calling you by computer - it's automated and the computer calls 10 people at a time for each rep and trys to make it "efficeient" for the rep so they work like a dog or should I say slave

RBC kept calling about the mortgage coming up for renew. 1 year term, they call six month before term expire. What is a six month term? They may call once the mortgage starts. Feel like going somewhere. May me other banks do the same so they can keep you.
