- ddThey started calling me over 5 months ago but when I'd answer no one was there. After a dozen or so I stopped answering and leave them to voicemail but they never leave a message. It was initially a call ever few days but for at least 3 months now it is between 1-4 calls a day with there being an average of 2 calls a day now. Again, no one is there if I answer and they never leave a message. I only have an RRSP account with RBC but have never left my cell phone number with them so this is nothing but cold calling tele-marketing and not a courtesy call as they seem to suggest when asking them to remove the phone number. My cell provider gave me a list today with 200 calls originating from this number in just the past three months alone to my cell phone. I think this qualifies for harassment and if it doesn't stop I'm pursuing this and pulling my accounts from them.

- ABCDApparently its from RBC, but since i was in a rush i told the guy whose name s Emmanuel, that he should call me back tomorrow, and he asked at what time, i said around 11AM, but he said well actually im going to call you at 11h30 because we start working at that time.
In my mind, i was like, wait a minute, you work in a bank and you start only working at 11h30AM..isnt it fishy??!! Usually banks open at 9.30 or 10- Caller: 1 800 769 2510
- Karl| 1 replyNo matter how many times I call the Royal Bank and tell them to stop calling me, the calls continue. The most recent time was a few weeks ago and I got very mad at them, I told them that unless a nuclear bomb was going off, I did not want to be called in my home, ever. I spite of that, sure enough a couple weeks later the calls start again.
These people will never stop calling, no matter what you do. I wish there was a fine for them for every person on the do not call list that they phone.- Caller: Royal Bank
- rockett replies to KarlIve got my first RBC call, the funny thing was the ring bell, a women doing sex, good thing I wasent to my grand parent home, just hope it wont happen again, but for sur RBC cant not do anything about it, they have soo many application on the net, you can call someone and it appear the number you want to show, even with txt message, this thing can be very bad.
- AnnThis number calls my cell every day.

- BettyReceived one of these calls today and the woman asked for my husband. I asked if this was a "courtesy call" and she wouldn't confirm, stating privacy laws. I told her that my husband has an inactive RRSP with them but we conducted no other business with them. She said they weren't trying to sell anything, etc. and when would be a good time to call. I told her we weren't interested but she insisted that she HAD to call & speak with my husband so I told her when to call back.
So I followed another poster's suggestion and called Customer Service. I asked to have our phone # put on their do not call list. After holding for a few minutes, the guy came back on the line and said it had been removed.
Now, let's see if she calls...- Caller: Royal Bank of Canada

- KariI was getting calls from this number up to 3 times a day. I took Rons advice (below) and called the number he listed for rbc customer support and asked them to list our number as do not call. They did so very promptly and politely.
- Caller: RBC
- VictoriaBCmsgCaller ID displayed "RBC" for 8007692510. I picked up the phone (landline) and said "hello" several times, no answer. Other messages at this site report this number is registered to Royal Bank of Canada. For silent calls like this one, it could be an unauthorized person using the number, or someone who has found a way to spoof caller IDs to report this as the number they are calling from, while they may be calling from another number.

- LeeAnneGet calls from RBC every 3 months. Told them at every 3 month cycle to stop calling. They said it's their policy to call every cycle to advise of new or changed products offered by RBC. I told them that's not my policy but that I had time and would contact their customer service every 20 minutes and tie them up until I was permanently taken off. I had to do this several times before they got the message. After 6 months it's started again. Will have to make a coffee and start calling RBC's customer service.
They also stated that if I was permanently taken off their call list, that if there was a problem or fraudulent transaction on a credit card that I would not be advised. I told them that the credit cards are a different company with RBC as a broker for services and that customer service would not be affected. - Nana replies to DrewYou could have made your point without being so agressive. Thanks.

- zacwaters replies to informed userDear uninformed user,
You are absolutely incorrect.
Shame on you for suggesting this false solution with your 'inside information'. - zacwaters replies to informed userWith respect to the earlier posting from "informed user" who posted "The problem is that none of you pick up your phones.
I used to get really annoyed by these (have a similar problem with rogers) but now I work for a company that has a phone tree autodialer. They sent out a memo to employees letting us know about it.
If you answer your phone and wait a second and then say "hello" it recognizes the number as active and stops trying to reach you
Do youself a favour and answer one to avoid the millions"
Well....Dear uninformed user,
