Why not just stick to the fact that these calls should not be made and that is it. There is nothing else to talk about. No one needs to make time for things that are just plain annoying.
I'm so glad to see the comment of "go back to high school"
Yes people are just plain idiots for not wanting to deal with the bull these companies just feed down our throat.
Your the perfect sap that these companies like. Just keep bending over for these guys, they love you more and more

Informed user and Drew are correct..........answer it once and they will stop calling.......this time around.  I do deal with RBC and know that, for me, they have been very good.  And the security with their Visa is excellent....I have even had them call me when there is unusual activity on my card to ensure it is ok........and when they do that, they leave a message asking you to call them back as soon as possible.  Lately most of the cold calls have been for the insurance that all banks are selling these days............answer it once and they will stop.....

Honestly, i used to deal with credit unions and I have taken my business to td,and RBC and bmo. In the us i deal with bank of america. I hold personnel accounts, investments, mortgages, and business accounts. Credit unions are horrible, and out of all of the banks I deal with, by far RBC is the best. Quit whining scumbag, cause the credit unions rob you blind. And it proves my point if you do not see it!

If you don't like the calls, block the # people. It's not brain surgery. It's actually a 3rd party company that works on behalf of RBC that shouldn't be making thousands of seemingly random calls to countless clients. Either ignore the # or block it if you don't want to be disturbed. Putting yourself on the DO NOT CALL List probably won't help either. You'll probably end up getting more calls from other companies and possible scam artists.

Have an account with RCB, NEVER never told them to call me at odd hours, sometimes leaving a message and sometimes not. Called once, said never call me again. If I want something from RCB I'll call and make an appointment with the manager. Will confront, RCB as soon as possible to end these calls

Telemarketer from RBC = Royal Bank of canada, calls my cell abut 4 times a day.

I called these Royal bank telemarketers TWICE to ask nicely to have my number removed from their 'lists', the guys I spoke to are part of the 'business telemarketing' and a 'cut above' the normal personal bankers, or so they THINK... They were nice enough - just ineffective and impotent obviously, RBC still calls me 4x a day, from this number thankfully so I can block it out totally.

RBC why do you waste your time like this?
RBC customers, you are paying for these guys...?!? They will NEVER get any business using these tactics and in fact I would avoid RBC based on this harrassment.

So, as we know it IS RBC.  They are call center agents.  Part of the Proactive department.  I picked the guys brain on the phone, after telling him  never in my life had I dealt with RBC.

he asked if anyone in my family does....(I suppose via networking, they manage to hunt family and friends down.)    He also asked how long I had my number for, and was surprised when I said over 2 years.  He could only put it down to human error, that a provided number was entered incorrectly into their system.

To my knowledge this has nothing to do with collections, or debts.  It is simply RBC customer Service trying to sell their products (accounts, etc).

Again after telling the bloke I didn't want to receive the calls, he removed me from the list and stated the usual 48 hour wait for it to take effect.

Calls me from 8am to 8pm 7 days a week for the last 2 weeks. Each day at least 7x.  I stop picking it up cuz this would be the 3rd attempt by rbc to get me to open an account eventhough I'd told them NO in the previous times. Just filed a complaint with the CRTC. Stupid # just called again while I'm typing this in. My next intro will be f*** off for every call they make. I'm going to cancel everything that is rbc related. Stupid bank.

It actually was the real RBC.  They knew my limit on my Visa card and the exact year that I had started with them -- without prompting me for any information.  There was no prying me for any information within the call  -- only informing me of their updated products and obliging without hassle when I politely declined.

The Royal Bank wants to know if everything is ok for their services. For my part, if I were not satisfied, I WOULD GO TO ANOTHER BANK!!! IT'S CLEAR!!  The guy asked me to allow him 15 or 20 minutes to discuss if everything was ok with my account, etc.. I don't have time to waste. I have made business with that bank for the last 40+ years and that means I'm satisfied. Understand??? Stop calling me!!!

It takes a full month or so to stop recieving calls when you have your profile  settings adjusted as there are already pre-produced list being used.

I've been getting calls from 800-769-2510 maybe for 6+ months now even though I've repeatedly told them to delete me from their call list, but to no avail. I've been bothered at any time of the day, in the middle of eating & while sleeping. Finally, I've had it. I tried a different approach this time - fight fire with fire. Tonight, I got another call. Speaking softly to make sure the caller has the earphone close to his ears so he can hear me, I yelled at the top of my voice, and hang up. Maybe that will take me off their list, and if it doesn't, I'll repeat the yelling scenario. I've done this once with another company with the desired result (they don't call me anymore). Let's see if RBC will do the same, and take me out of their calling list.

It's been a week.  I finally googled and called RBC tonight.  The guy I talked to was nice enough and extremely apologetic.  I should stop getting these calls in 15 days according.  But the guy spent like 10 mins explaining the reasons calls.  LOL.

It was quite entertaining as he tried to pass me to an "advisor" who's been calling me to talk to me about my investments.
