No scams here, this is a legit collection agency that does not purchase debt. All of the clients they have place accounts with the agency providing the last known name , number and location information used on the acocunt when active.
If you are getting called take the time to verify if it is you or not instead of being a bonehead and saying i dont owe any bills its a SCAM.

Verify its not you and have the number removed, as easy as 1  2  3.  If it is you and you didnt open the account, tell them and have a fraud application sent to you.   WE DONT MAKE THE DEBT, WE DONT OWE THE DEBT, WE JUST COLLECT IT!

I had 4 calls from 800-771-5362. A man called himself Glen Beck told me I owe for a cellular phone I never had. Then told me he would send a courier to my house and I needed to have cash. I said no and hung up filing police report and the Fair Trade Commission.

Received a call from a Trace Meyers, 1-800-771-5361 ext 1124 (also comes up as 1-904-247-5500), who said that I owed over 500 dollars to T-Mobile from several years ago.  I've never had a T-Mobile account in my life.  Told him he was wrong and I don't owe anything on any type of cell service.  He became quite insistant that I do.  He said I need to pay him the money or he is going to file it with the credit companies and it will go on my credit report (this was after he already said it was on my credit report, which it was not).  I guess this is supposed to scare people into paying their false claims.

Don't give anyone any money over just a phone call.  Make sure you get actual physical documents to make sure things like these are legit.  Have your attorney check them out.  They might be a real collection company but there is no way I will fall for their false strong arm tatics.

They just called my house at 8:45 on a Sunday. How rude? She said her name was Janet Kramer and she needed to discuss a "person business matter" She was rude and impolite. Acting way too pushy. Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with them?

They call once a wee only at my job, and was leaving messages on the work answering service. Today I was fired because of the messages so what ever they wanted to collect they just cheated them self out of it as well as because of them I may be sleeping in a park soon with no phone for them to attack me with.
No using the work number for personal calls and dept collecting is a personal call.
I don't even know how they got my work number. Or what dept they wanted to collect.
I really thought it was illegal to do that to a person in America over a couple of dollars.
I haven't had unsecured credit now for more then 10 years, so it couldn't have been that big of a dept they wanted to have me terminated for.
But they left a message on my work numbers answering service, giving tangible proof I was using my work number for personal business. I wasn't, I don't know how they got the number.
But I am fired now. There are 17 people in the United States with the same name as me, so I guess they are going to set out to get every one of them in trouble at their jobs.
I really liked that job too. :( I had it for only 3 years. I was just getting really good at it.
I pretty sure that's illegal though.
But today I was emailed my release and a copy of the recording they left.
Including a copy of the not using work lines for personal business contract.
I read their site, it states they have been doing this for 17 years, I have to wonder how many family's they made homeless like this.
I had one bill collector who insisted I steal my ex husbands company and sell it to pay off a t-mobile bill. Not a phone bill but just the early cancellation contract fee. I think it was the same company.
Well, the job that was paying my rent and only my rent is gone now. Maybe next month they will take away the shoes I'll be living in.
So when did they make it legal for collectors to hunt you down at work and get you fired?
Till today, I worked a call center out of Cali that gave me just enough money to cover my rent and other call centers that paid a lot less to cover my power bills and phone, I just got approved for government assistance for food and basic medical care. That's how bad its been and thanks to some AH making it legal to get people fired over a few bucks, I'm afraid all I'll have left soon is food and maybe antibiotics for the infections from sleeping in the streets. With out the home I wont be able to take the smaller jobs that pay my other bills.
Thank god I'm old and my kids are grown and moved away.
Again, when did they make this legal in America?.
Is this what they used the Government grants for?.
If I ever get back on my feet again, I will be pickier about the company's I deal with.
4 company's in the past 2 years, when I ran out of money refused to turn off services I ask them too till the bills where 3 moths old. This was junk I didn't need at all, like cable TV, extra phone lines, high speed internet connections etc...

I received a call from a collector looking for my daughter.  When I refused to give her my daughters phone number, she threatened to harass me by calling me every day until she talks to my daughter.  My daughter is 29 years old and I am not responsible for her debt.  I do not feel collection companies should be allowed to call and harass parents for problems their grown children are having.

I recieved a call from them today. They wanted me to give them over the phone check for whatever date was good for me for a early contract termination from Sprint because the service from Sprint sucked big time in my area.  I lost the bill in the house. I refused to give them my bank account information over the phone and told the guy I don't have the money because I have other important bills to pay. My next check will be enough to cover my car payment and car insurance so I can get to work. I work 2 days a week for a total of 16hrs and that's it. The guy didn't want to believe me so I gave the phone to my father and then after my dad reaffirmed what I just said, the guy hung up on my dad.

They call back again, I will tell them to go shove it will the sun don't shine. Then file harrassment charges against them.

    Tired of these people too
This company is absolutely tasteless.  Rude and crude is what to expect if ever you receive a phone call from them, simply hang up! Better yet... just don't answer. I have told them numerous times that the person they are asking for is NOT of this #... yet they continue to call.  Finally, today I contacted them .....regarding the many error calls continually made to my business & they could not care less!  What did they do?  Click/ hangup, is what they did as soon I informed them that they are calling the wrong number!  Thoughtless & truly pathetic,  such poor business practices.
