Social security scam. Hang up.

Called and hung up when I answered

Scammers left this message: “die!” And spoofed the number of SSA

The SSA will send info in the mail before they would ever call you. Don't ever give out any ID info over the phone.

Received a call advising that my social security had been compromised.  wanted me to press "1" to talk to an agent.  The phone # displayed was 800-772-1213.  I did not respond.  The call terminated.  I dialed the 800-772-1213 amd that appeared to be a legitimate social security number.  I don't believe social security makes calls and all correspondence is via US Mail.  This must be a scam.  don't know.

Received a similar call as David South. A computer generated voice made it sound like I would get thrown in jail if I did not comply by talking to an "officer." I hung up. Obvious scam. Don't give your info to these people. Only correspond by mail to legit government offices.

As far as I have researched SSA will contact you the same way the IRS does  via mail. They don't call you directly. Hope this helps.

People DON"T be stupid.  NEVER EVER EVER give your personal info (ss #, address, dob, credit card #..over the phone.  NO legitimate governmental agency, bank or credit card company will ask for this over the phone!! Just think about it!!

Caller said someone was using my Social Security number

They Said My Social Security Number Was Being Used Fraudulently In Texas & That I Was Goin To Jail

received a phone call from 1 800 772 1213 and 1 800 227 4825 saying there is a frodgilent clam with my ssn agent said his name was mark davis badge num  LQ52192 was this a real call are a scam

Voice mail picked up, computer started leaving message before the beep. What I played back was, being indicted by grand jury if I didn't call an 828 number immediately. If I ignored the   message all they could do is say good luck.

received a VM from this number asked to call back 9517902968 "Legal enforcement action filed against me" so the message says...
I swear I cannot stand these calls especially during the holidays. it sounds robotic.

Got call from this number at 7:41 am. Did not answer, no message

Message:" Legal department SSA calling to tell you SSA has filed lawsuit against you and has issued a arrest warrant for fraudulent activities."

I received an automated call from 800-772-1213 saying that I am under investigation with the social security administration and will be arrested.  Press 1 to speak to an agent and when I did, it told me I was being transferred to an office.  Also poor English and was adamant to get my name, which I did not provide.

I received a call from this number 800-772-1813???

Received a text with this number to "call with questions" purporting to give info on an appointment at SSA. Not going to call them since it's most likely part of the scam.
