Which ghetto are you referring to?  From reading your post I get the impression that you are or have worked at one of those foreign call centers and I would bet your spoken English is no better than your written English grammar.  You should post what you know and not what you think you know.

Recorded message after saying nothing for quite awhile. Asked for Suzy Smyth. No such person. Called back got a recording! Definitely spam caller. If they call you --call them back LOTS of times as they have to pay for each called received.

Don't know who they are or what they want. This is a new phone number, I have just recently moved back to this city. Have not given this number to anyone.

These [***] call us every week . Penn Credit Corp on the caller Id which might be a fake name. If you call them back they will be charged since it's a 800 number. Jerks.

I ask that this # stop calling my home.  I work 3rd shift and cannot sleep due to this unnecessary caller...thanks in advance

A message concerning an important business to receive this message in English press one .  Call all the time day and night?  I dont have any debt for anyone to call about, if that is what this is all about.  We are to be on the do not call list if for any other reason.  Annoying  annoying annoying

Robo-caller left a message asking that a man who died 10 years ago get back to them. The may have to wait a while.

Brian Lee called my number and asked for me to call him about very important business.  I have and will not return the call.

Ghetto, and not being able to speak proper English, are you kidding me? We have have conversation regarding our business with people in other countries (NAFTA) and can hardly understand their spin on the English language.  Professionalism is not your strong suit.

they continue to call my phone all the time, and they ask for a person called Patty Hailey, and that person does not live here, this is not here phone home line number and she has never lived here and never had this phone number. I called a continue to tell them all that this is NOT her phone and her address, but they continue to call me.

Received call to stating it is an attempt to collect a debt. I pay all my bills in time. Is this a legit company?

A F'N collection agency.
Listed as "UNKNOWN" on the caller ID.
Straightened my credit out 4 years ago, and don't owe a single person , company, or anything to anyone for anything!
I Constantly check it every few months. Yea they were looking for me, but I told them they were calling the wrong number-(which the number really IS someone else's) and to please take it off their list. which they said they would )
Within minutes of the call I checked it again & nothing appears.
As another post said, this company may ( or more than likely IS') have bought thousands of old 7-10 year debt that are considered NULL & VOID.
A TIP TO EVERYONE....
If you know for fact your report is clean , and have nothing hanging over your head, and someone calls for some debt from 10 years ago that you know is gone.
DON'T pay anything to anyone looking for even a fraction of a settlement that you know has already been removed
Don't fall for some line, like it will look good on your report if you pay a debt that was already gone.
It's not going to show up as some good faith gesture.
Because once you make ANY KIND of payment toward it, & I mean anything ,even a dollar, you could be on the hook for the whole thing all over again

Received a call on my home phone and decided to call back. It is a debt collection company. They're looking for someone who happens to share my last name. Let them know politely that they had the wrong number and I didn't know a Joseph. Hopefully they remove my number.

Stop calling my phone! You call several times a day and you hang up when machine comes on. When I answered and it was not for me you kept my phone tied up. I am on the do not call list! And   I am sick of this!
