Report a phone call from 800-945-6596 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- leeI get these calls also on my cell phone 800-945-6596. I now saved the number in my phone book and put no ringer on it. They call 7-8 times a day but now I just get missed calls, they never leave a message. I also did it for 614 729 6039. By putting no ringer, at least you dont have to hear the phone ring and you won't get aggravated!!

- AgyThis number has been calling me nonstop, but my phone's always on silent so I always miss it. They never leave a message or anything. I called back and they asked for an account number, without even saying what company they were for. The woman (foreign sounding) said they were calling from GE Money and again asked for an account number. I asked her what specific card they would be calling about so I could get an account number for her. She then says they service so many different ones and she has no idea. I persisted and she finally said "American Eagle, GAP, Banana Republic." When I told her I have never had any of these cards she asked for my social security number. I told her there was no way I was giving my entire social security number over the phone, or even a part of it without knowing what company she was calling from. She then asked for my account number again. (Not the smartest..) After again saying I didn't have an account number for her and wasn't giving her my social security number, she said "is there anything else I can do for you today?" and I said "Yes please remove my number from your calling list." Her response was "We can't do that without the account number or social security number" and then hung up on me.
Sounds like a scam to me. Asking for a full social security number over the phone is beyond ridiculous in this day and age. If it was legitimate, they should be able to look up the account by name or phone number. Also, generally each individual store card would have it's own number, as they would be serviced by different departments.. I'm going to try and answer next time they call and see if they are in anyway more informative. I would advise against giving these people any personal information!- Caller: GE Money
- Jo replies to irritatedThis happened to me today like 15 times not even joking like every 20 15 min.s or so... help help help
- MPLThey call several times a day. I do not have any business with them nor do I have any store credit cards or outstanding bills. It does not seem to make a difference. I am on the federal and state no call lists but it doesn't matter!!!!

- Denise Saxthis number calls several times per day. today 6 times in 2 hours. this is a newly assigned number to our business and is connected only to a fax. Since this is a new number to me, I have been patient but no longer want to hear my fax ringing constantly. My assumption is that this is a debt colletor looking for someone else who previously had this number assigned to them by charter communications. It would most appreciated if they would remove this number as a contact.
- GaryReceived a call from this telephone # at 8 am. They ID'd themselves as from "Credit Services" and asked to confirm my DOB. I refused and told them that I do not give any of that info over the telephone and told them not to call back.
The next day, at 8am, I received a call from 8004102940. It was from the same people. I told them to send me something in writing and not to call back again. I doubt this will help.- Caller: "Credit Services"

- DanaJust like everyone else this number calls us everyday from morning to night. We also have an American Eagle card. Has anyone tried calling the American Eagle company to see what they have to say about it? This is really getting annoying!!
- Jo AnnThey are a credit card company hired by Old Navy when you open a card with them, they hold your statement, and never mail it to you. They refuse to take your payment via debit card or another card to pay off the bill. They wait until the statement is past due so that they can "CHARGE THEIR FEE" and ruin your credit. These people are doing this to too many people with 825 plus credit ratings. They will be closed down. I called Old Navy and this company 3 times after opening my charge account asking for my statement and verifying my address, etc. They finally admitted they had the wrong address after my 3rd phone call and would wave the late fee. I wanted to charge them for my time and aggravation! My account shows my payment PLUS A FEE! What a scam!

- Georgia6 calls a day to my home (minimum) and within 30 seconds of the call to my home I get a call to my cell from the same number. No one is there when I answer. I am sooooo upset. After talking with an attorney I have been advised to file harassment charges against the caller. The problem is, when I call teh numer back they want personal informtion before I can speak to anyone. HW FRUSTRATING!!!
- Dog Tired of GreedThe law limits the number of calls and the hours debt collection agencies can call your home, and place of business.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation’s consumer protection agency, enforces the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), which prohibits debt collectors from using abusive, unfair, or deceptive practices to collect from you.
Can a debt collector contact me any time or any place?
No. A debt collector may not contact you at inconvenient times or places, such as before 8 in the morning or after 9 at night, unless you agree to it. And collectors may not contact you at work if they’re told (orally or in writing) that you’re not allowed to get calls there.
How can I stop a debt collector from contacting me?
If a collector contacts you about a debt, you may want to talk to them at least once to see if you can resolve the matter – even if you don’t think you owe the debt, can’t repay it immediately, or think that the collector is contacting you by mistake. If you decide after contacting the debt collector that you don’t want the collector to contact you again, tell the collector – in writing – to stop contacting you. Here’s how to do that:
Make a copy of your letter. Send the original by certified mail, and pay for a “return receipt” so you’ll be able to document what the collector received. Once the collector receives your letter, they may not contact you again, with two exceptions: a collector can contact you to tell you there will be no further contact or to let you know that they or the creditor intend to take a specific action, like filing a lawsuit. Sending such a letter to a debt collector you owe money to does not get rid of the debt, but it should stop the contact. The creditor or the debt collector still can sue you to collect the debt.- Caller: GE MONEY SERVICES

- scorpioneyeslike others here, i got 4 calls from them within the last 3.5 hours, starting at 8:45am. i" didn't answer the first two. i picked up the 3rd but the call dropped. i call them back and it says they're "Credit Services, please enter your account number". just answered the 4th call and the woman asks for "April". i tell her she's got the wrong number, and i start complaining about getting multiple calls. she then claims this was her first call to me. i ask who she is, where she's calling from, etc. she says she can't disclose anything since she's not talking to the right person. I ask again who she's looking for, and she says "April Castro" and repeats my phone number. but without me asking, she tells me that she'll remove my number from their list. if i were smarter, i would've pretended to be this April person, just so i could find out who they were and then file charges against them.
