GE Money calling because I haven't paid my american eagle credit card

GE is Old Navy as well.

Have received about 5 calls from this number and upon answering there is a hang up or no answer.  Upon calling the number back the message asks for an account number and I have no Idea as to what they want.  No way to talk to a person.  A real pain to interrupt ligament calls.

My husband and I are senior citizens. We are receiving at least 5-6 phone calls per day from an 800 number that CLAIMS to be Amazon.com VISA card saying that I owe them $53. I have called Amazon.com and they said that I not only don't OWE them anything, but that they haven't called me and that I have a credit balance. I've asked ~ BEGGED ~ these people to stop calling me because every time they call, either I or my husband have to stop whatever we are doing and answer the phone. Many times we are involved in doing other things and this is a nuisance and a physical difficulty. I don't know who these people are and neither does the legitimate Amazon.com. I had my credit card cancelled and had a new one issued because I feared they had my old card number. The number from which they are calling 5-6x a day is: (800) 945-6596. It is always the same number,but a different person.

I've gotten two calls in the past hour from these morons. Everytime I pick up there's nobody there.  So, I've added them to my block call list. Anyone with a smart phone should think about getting Kaspersky antivirus. They offer a great service where you can put it on up to 5 devices, including smart phones. I did, and it made a huge difference on annoying calls like this.

I recently received a call from this number and I called back and it says credit services. I agree that it may be GE money. For people who have android I have found a great app called " call blocker" that you can block these types of calls.

If they're calling my number for collections, they dialed the wrong number or failed to do their due diligence.

They can still call those people they have " legit" dealing. For those of you who are being bothered even after updating the first caller and EXPRESSLY tell them DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN OR I WILL FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE DOJ (Dept of Justice) FOR VIOLATION OF THE FCRA ( Fair credit reporting act). Make note of date time and representatives name and or employee ID number.

GE MONEY BANK is the financial banker of many different credit companies for which you may have one of their credit cards. Look on the back of the credit card(s) you are delinquent on and you will see who is calling. Amazon uses GE Money Bank.

Being on the Federal Do Not Call list will not help you with this number as it is one of many illicit spammers operating out of India through an endless supply of US phone numbers they are routing the calls through. IAs soon as one phone # they are routing the calls through is shut down they simply use another. Unlikely they will ever stop as they have made milions & millions of dollars from the US citizens they have been able to con and our government doesn't have much jurisdiction in India.  Nightline just did a feature story on this scam again last night. Sad that outsourcing from our own American companies could have spawned the idea and been a phone list source for these illegal telemarketers.

You do PayPal Credit or have an open case with them? It may be them trying to call you.

Stop calling for nothin it to much

They got me for $60. Answering machine asked for invoice number, didn't have. Got operator, had wife's name she was' t home. Very convincing

Beware people, this is an organized crime outfit that has been scamming people for years. The Feds know all about them but refuse to do anything. The only recourse you have is to change your number or use a blocking service app (i.e. Mister number) if you have a cell phone. Before blocking them when they called me 4-5 times a day I would start a "phone sex" conversation with with them and they get angry and hang up. They still call but don't get thru to me as I check the Mr. Number log and see they are still trying.

Why do they ask for your phone number? Didn't they call you???

They also (supposedly) represent Amazon.com.
