This company (800) 945-6596 annoyingly calls in the early morning, late at night, whenever. I never pick up the phone, but they don't stop. How can I get this irritating solicitor to stop annyoying me?

I spoke with GE and they informed me that they are aware of the situation, are working on it, and that the best advice they had was to block the number. Make sure to alert the Federal Trade Commission. The more traffic they receive about this fraudulent company the higher the odds that they will work on this case.

They call over and over 10 times a day. The best way to stop them is when they call just press all the numbers on the cell phone real fast, real fast. I mean fast, fast and keep that up. They will get the message loud and clear. Do not talk.
It is against the law what they are doing so they call from China via this number.
Tell them kiss off.

I think this may be GE Capital calling me because I forgot to pay my Amazon credit card last month.  Honest mistake, with online only billing I sometimes miss the email remainder (or I don't receive it).  Either way I have sent payment so when they get it in a couple days I expect the calls to stop.  If they don't I'll look into it further as to why this number is calling me 5x per day!!

This number called me on my land line and also on my cell phone

Just wanted to confirm what I posted.  Once they got the payment on Tuesday they stopped calling 5-6x per day..on Wednesday.

This is GE Credit, they call about Walmart, Sams Club and Paypal accounts

I have been getting the same calls from this number.  They call over and over and never leave a message.  I closed my GE Credit services account last year.  I closed my Sam's club account a month ago.  All balances were paid off before due.  Here's what I'm going to do... put a block on their number(s) with my cell phone carrier.  Get on line, plug in the harassing phone number and it's blocked.

Just spoke with a person from who had called me stating that I was two months over due paying by paypal account.  He had the wrong name, wrong addess and wanted me to verify who I was by giving him my last four of my SSAN.  Told him he wasn't getting any number from SSAN so he gave me the last four of the person he was looking for.  He was nice and stated that he was looking for a person with my name.  I could hear a beeping sound about every 10 seconds so I believe the call was being recorded.  Remember don't give out your SSAN to anyone who cold calls you!

Same problem- multiple calls, day and night.  I'm reporting them to the National do not call registry - https://www.donotcall.gov/register.  This is under the FTC.  If they don't stop, you can also report a complaint at this site.  I'm doing the same with several other unsolicited calls I've been receiving - never a message left, never any one on the other end.  This is harrassment and it started when I switched from AT&T to Comcast.  Believe me, Comcast is going to get an earful, as well!

get calls from this number many times a day not just my cell phone but also the home phone getting tired of these call I DON"T ANSWER ANY OF THEM we are also on the no call list (both phones) if any one ever finds a way of stopping them please post how you did it thanks

I to called them back and they had no idea why they called me. I am not sure if this is a debt collector or not, they called me twice and did not know why. The company is poorly run at best.

They have called my house 9 times in the past couple of days and I am sick of it!!  I have no clue why they keep calling and never leave a message if it is that urgent.  They called on a SUnday morning at 7 and my family was still sleeping!!  I am so tried of this and want them to stop calling me.  I pay my bills all the time and had no clue about these calls until I got on here.  This is ridiculous!!!

These a$$holes call me numerous times throughout the day and night. Today is Sunday they started calling about 830 this morning and since then I have received about eight additional phone calls. When I answer the phone the recording says please standby for an important call. No one ever picks the phone up.  I called back they say to hold an operator will be with me shortly. No one ever gets on the phone and it hangs up. I am getting very frustrated. I am not late on any bills and have no delinquent debt. How can I make this stop?

I was also getting calls from this number - when I answered they said I owed JC Penny Credit Card $80 & asked if I just made a $9 purchase.  Told her I don't shop at Penny's.  She said my name as listed in the phone book & rattle off some address in Ohio.   I just said I don't live in Ohio & then she wanted me to verify the last 4 of my ssn. I told her she has wrong person & hung up.  Is this some kind of phishing scam?

I used my credit card to pay for some items I bought from Amazon.  My credit card records show that the items have paid for, but I am getting calls from this number claiming that i have not made any payments.  I have A VERY DIFFICULT TIME UNDERSTANDING what they say, but they do demand that I make payments, even after I explain that I already have paid in full.  I have received over 15 calls within the last month.  I have already contacted Amazon, but they won't help, they simply apologize and keep referring me to an endless cycle of phone numbers.

They call several times a day in every day including sundays  start at 8 a.m.

Their company name to GE capital quite a while ago so dont fall for this scam
