800-978-8664 - SunshinegirlI don't bank with Chase, so there is no reason for them to call me. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a VM.
- RYAN| 1 replyI recieved a call from 8009788664 and let it go to voicemail. They called my cell phone then my office phone w/in 3 min of one another. I believe 100% THIS CALL IS A LEGITIMATE CALL FROM CHASE FRAUD DEPT.
The vm that was left was from an automated operator stating my card may have attempted Fraud and they will be immediately mailing me a new card out.
I last used my card approx 3 hrs ago (6am) and I do remember a shady looking guy standing next door at the gas station. He stayed in my vision throughout my entire transaction however I do not know what actions he took once I drove away. I wasn't too worried about my safety as I was legally armed and my firearm remained in my unused hand as usual.- Caller: Chase

- Suzeesecond call from this number this morning within an hour. I don't answer these calls, just let them ring. Answered a call from this number several months ago since people said it was legit. It was a robo call asking for my son, mispronouncing his first name. He has NEVER had a Chase debit card and neither have I. Both of our credit card accounts with Chase have been closed for over 8 years. If Chase doesn't know this then it's THEIR problem!!

- LAGot a text first that stated my debit card "may have been compromised". So i immeidately called Chase from my work phone. While speaking to a Chase Rep, this number called me ** It's Legite ** Chase Debit Card Fraud Prevention **
- Caller: Chase Bank
- BrandonThis is legit. They will also call you if they send you a new card and you have not activated it, so it isnt always that there is sketchy activity on the card.

- lrey65I received a call from this number identifying themselves as Chase Fraud. When I called them, they confirmed my card number and my address but DID NOT ask for my social. They also verified what I call out-of-wallet questions that I selected the correct answer to. They also confirmed my last transaction to me and indicated that the call was triggered by an attempted ATM transaction that I did not make. After I hung up with them, I contacted the number on the back of my card to verify that this was a legit Chase number and they validated it for me and the apparent fraudulent activity on the account. This number is legitimate for Chase Fraud department.
- Caller: Chase
- jm3 replies to RCODMIEDThe message is REAL, they verify two bits of info you set up with the bank. I use white pages app, that shows caller info regardless if they have caller I'd shown. I took the call, but if your that afraid, then I would call your bank ASAP, from the number off your bank card. I hope this was helpful since you all made a whole forum on it.
- BenNumber seems to be legit (SEE CAVEAT BELOW). Checked my email, and I had one from Chase saying they were sending me a new card. I checked my recent transactions and didn't see anything, so I'm guessing this is Heartbleed-related, and just a better-safe-than-sorry thing. I went through something similar a few months ago when Target screwed the pooch, and it went about the same way; I got a call, an email, and a new card a few days later.
(CAVEAT) THAT SAID, caller ID can be spoofed, so don't give any information out to anyone who calls you. Just like, ever. Call the number on the card.- Caller: Chase
- NRAIt's Chase. An outside source called and advised that someone may have my card number and therefore, the fraud department called to verify the most recent activity and to advise that a new card has been issued and will be in my possession in the next 5 to 7 business days.
- Caller: Chase
- MomfixitText and voicemail left same message that Chase card is at risk for fraud and I will receive a new card in 10 days. Lowered limit for my protection. I called the number at the back of my card and the customer service rep confirmed that the messages were legit. I also checked how much my charging limit was and it was indeed lowered.
- Caller: Chase
- RilWell, considering I don't even have a Chase card that is being "frauded", I'd say this is a scam.

If YES reply 1, NO reply 2"-- 1) I received this text @ 11 pm 1/7 - which is 1 day before said fraud took place and 2) I don't even have a Chase acct? Should I assume it's a scam?
